very small elevator

The minibar was dirty. The room is cold. The aircondition doesnt work. The elevator is super small and not comfortable. You cannot go into the elevator with stroller or a bid suitcase. The location is good.

Rude & arrogant owner and staff

The service was not pleasant. We came to Germany from Canada and stayed at several hotels prior to this one. This hotel was the only one to approach me during their continental breakfast to advise I wasn't meeting the "dress code". For breakfast.. with only 1 other couple in the room. The manager came down while I was mid meal and asked me to change into something more presentable and return to eat (she was presumably called by kitchen staff, who gawked at me as though they had never seen Victoria's secret silk pyjamas). I was terribly embarrassed. This hotel is no Fairmont and I was quite put together, with my hair and face put together. To interrupt me in the middle of my meal, tucked away in the very corner of the breakfast area and out of sight, was humiliating. They didn't charge me for breakfast, but the experience was belittling.There were also dust mites beside the night stand in the bedroom, but otherwise clean.

quick weekend trip.

The hotel was perfect. It was exactly what my son and I needed for our quick trip to Düsseldorf. We took the train from the airport and it was a 10 min walk from the main train station. The staff was helpful and gave us directions on where to go and what to see. Day 2 the front desk gave us excellent directions to an adventure to a castle. The location is good for restaurants and sightseeing. We will be back.

Good for a Few Nights

Rooms are clean and well maintained. Location is great. Close to everything, shopping, restaurants, transport etc. The room we had was quite small and not well laid out. The bed was also not so comfortable. All in all I nice place to stay.

Great roomy hotel in Düsseldorf

This hotel was a great launching place for my short stay in Düsseldorf. The area right around the hotel has many great bars and restaurants. The room was large and comfortable.

Could do better

The hotel is very well located, close to the main railway station and with plenty of good restaurants nearby. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was excellent. However, our room on the fifth floor had a sloping ceiling which is not always easy to see against other white paintwork : we both cracked our heads quite hard on it at different times. We did not have a double bed, just two singles pushed together. There is no coffee maker or kettle in the room. The TV only had German channels. We stayed for 3 nights and were only ever left one facecloth between the two of us. Traffic can be quite noisy in the morning.The fifth floor landing is routinely used as a storage space for cleaning equipment. So not our best experience ever.

Needs new bedding and pillows

Room was small but clean. Good area within walking distance of train station. My issue with this hotel is that the comforter is too small for bed. It only covers half the bed and cannot be tucked in so if you move around it moves with you. Pillow very flat. Heat did not get warm enough so room was cold and uncomfortable. Between bed and heat it was impossible to sleep.
