Very comfortable stay

The house was wonderful for our family of 8 adults. Plenty roomy, lots to do, well-stocked! We would stay here again.

Amazing week in Hermosa!

First, let me say that I love working w/Durango Colorado Vacations! They are friendly, responsive to any question or need, and just really great folks to work with! We've been using them for 4 to 5 years & their process is efficient and easy to work with. This year we booked our usual location, but the owner sold it within 60 days of our arrival. Jen worked with us to find another rental that was still available in the Hermosa area. It was a bit larger, but suited our needs - the Hermosa Mountain Hideaway is an amazing property! It is clean, extremely well stocked, had more than enough room for our family w/a game area for the children as well as living room, dining area had unbelievable amenities. We'll definitely rebook the Hermosa Mountain Hideaway for future annual family trips as long as it's available. We love the location because it's midway between Durango and Purgatory and perfect for us.

Fabulous house and location!!

We had 11 family members stay here, each with our own space. The common areas were spacious and conducive to hanging out and chatting. The kitchen right in the middle of it all allowed the cooks to be part of conversations. The outdoor seats and the patio table were lovely in the mornings, we had a wonderful time here!!!!!

Our family/group of 7 had an amazing stay. We loved everything about the house and yard. It was spotless and we all slept really well. From the towels and bedding to the kitchen stock… it was overly accommodating. We don’t have a single complaint Thank you for a wonderful vacation stay. We’ll be back 🥰

Great house and location

This house has wonderful views and a great air conditioner, which we were so grateful to have! But when the nights cooled off we also loved the hot tub...it was sparkling clean, beautifully nestled under the trees and illuminated by lovely twinkle lights. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen stocked with every small appliance you could want and the brand new sofa was comfy. When we required support from the management company, they were the best to work with.

Great house for big groups

The house was perfect for our group of 11. We used the kitchen for cooking meals everyday and were impressed that it had everything we needed. The house was clean and well cared for. We also liked the location just north of Durango. Not too far but also not too close so that you can enjoy the quiet of the outdoors with a great view. We hope to be back in the future. Highly recommend.

Our stay was enjoyable, other than issue with the AC on the top floor not work. Kid had fun time playing the games at the house.

Christmas in Durango

Overall the property is a good property. Fantastic locatio.n. It was a well stocked house but showing signs of wear and tear. The barn doors in the master bedroom do not slide well and don’t seem to be installed correctly. There is also a bad smell from the water in the downstairs bathroom. Overall we did enjoy our stay here. The basement game room is a really great space.

This is a nice big house w/a beautiful view The downstairs bonus room w/workout equipment was an extra bonus. We were a party of 8 (4 retired couples) & never felt crowded The kitchen is plenty big w/2 islands. The problem we had was with how dirty it was There was caked mud on the stairs & stains on the carpeting. We could find no fresh vacuum tracks anywhere & a bra cup pad was on the floor by the desk in the main bedroom upstairs. We had to wash the bathroom mats & clean the vacuum cleaners (filters were black) before we could vacuum & clean. The windows were dirty with cobwebs inside & out Cobwebs on the kitchen island lights & ceiling fans. The outside grill was filthy w/wires hanging out of it & the starter didn't work. The hot tub had twigs & debris in it, so we didn't use it. No one cleaned the hot tub or did the yard the 2 weeks we were there. We were suppose to have early check in, but that didn't work. Turned out not to be a problem because the back door was unlocked and ajar. This house is in a great location and we loved the view. Just wish it was better maintained.

Perfect home for our family

We enjoyed Hermosa Mountain Hideaway immensely. The home was as described and pictured. Kitchen was well stocked in every aspect. The back patio, fresh mountain air, hot tub, and privacy were all appreciated. Communication with agent was helpful and timely. Would definitely rent again in the future.
