I traveled with my two kids from Canada and stayed at your hotel for 12 days. Overall, the service was good, but the front desk manager was very unprofessional. There was a booking mistake on my part for one night.
On April 3rd, we returned to the hotel around 9:00 PM and noticed the room hadn't been cleaned, but we didn’t mind. We packed and went to bed, planning to leave for the airport at 4:45 AM.
At 3:00 AM, the phone rang, but I didn’t answer, thinking it was one of my kids’ alarms. Moments later, a staff member entered the room unannounced, waking us up. He asked if I needed to extend the stay. I said no—we were leaving in a couple of hours.
Then I received more calls, and around 5:00 AM, the front desk told me I needed to pay for an extra night. I explained it was an honest mistake and agreed to pay. However, I was surprised when someone came to the door immediately asking for AED 1,490—far more than the AED 303 I paid per night on April 1st and 2nd.
After a brief disagreement, she eventually reduced the charge to AED 900 and asked if that was acceptable. I informed her that I was not satisfied with the amount, but if I had no other choice, I would proceed with the payment. She claimed to have refunded the original amount of AED 1,490; however, after three days, I have yet to receive the refund. In the meantime, I was charged AED 900.
I find this situation completely unacceptable and unprofessional, and as a result, I will not be staying again.
