I booked a sea view room via Expedia and included a specific request for a room with a good view to enhance my vacation experience. Yet, the hotel didnāt respond on the messages. Upon check-in, I also asked for a quiet room. However, I was assigned a room on the lowest floor, directly across from the elevator, and with two twin bedsānone of which aligned with my requests.
It took approximately 20 minutes of back and forth discussion while I was informed by the check-in staff that no alternative rooms were available. Fortunately, after escalating the issue to the duty manager, I was promptly reassigned to a higher-floor room with a beautiful sea view, which better met my expectations.
While I greatly appreciate the professionalism and excellent service provided by the duty manager and the concierge team, the initial check-in experience fell short and impacted my first impression of the hotel. I would recommend improving consistency in service standards across all front desk staff and encouraging the team to learn from those who deliver truly outstanding customer service.
