The new vacation home has so much to offer, three bedrooms, a large yard, great location, and the bonus of being practically neighbors with Farmhouse Deli. This home will leave you feeling relaxed as you discover the beauty both inside and outside of this home.

INSIDE THE HOME
This single story home will leave you breathless from the moment you arrive. Walk into this freshly designed home with an ample amount of natural light. The kitchen is fully stocked with all your basic needs, dining for 4 with 3 bar stools at the breakfast bar, a spacious living room, three bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. Settle in for the night by cozying up next to the electronic fireplace and turning on your favorite movie. Wake up and enjoy fresh air with your morning coffee by sitting out on the screened in porch that is attached to the Primary Suite.

OUTDOOR SPACE

Kids loved the location and access to bike friendly communities. Very comfortable couch, nice screened in back porch. Didn’t have a great selection of cooking utensils, bought a wine key in town and left it for future renters. Could use a few more family games. Books in the bunk room were appreciated! Overall would stay again.

Great property and location

We met friends here for a long weekend stay and loved the location of this property. Douglas was quieter than Saugatuck and we could walk to a great deli, coffee shops, grocery, restaurants, and Douglas Beach. We enjoyed a night in with the grill and fire pit, too. The house was very clean and comfortable for our party of 4. I would stay here again!

Amazing Michigan Cottage!

Our stay at Douglas Cottage was the perfect location for our Memorial Day weekend getaway! The house was clean, beautifully decorated and had a great location for outings to downtown areas of Douglas and Saugatuck and Oval Beach. It was well-furnished with everything we needed. We enjoyed the firepit and patio each evening and the frequent sightings of deer, turkeys and bluejays. The whole family would highly recommend!

Cozy Cottage

We loved the stay, and how cozy everything was. Perfect. and it was so convenient to everything. All was wonderful, just wanted to let the owners know that the kitchen canister lights were out, and that if more larger towels could be provided, that would be great. Other than that, we couldn't have raved more about our stay. In the evening, we were able to watch a herd of deer pass through the yard and graze across the street. We truly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.

Gecko Getaway was not our original booking, but due to a power outage in the area, we had to move from our original location. Jaqua Realtors, the rental agency was outstanding in helping us relocate and this unit turned out to be awesome! The hot tub was a great bonus. Entry and check out were easy. Cabin was clean and spacious.and lots of character. The beds were comfortable enough and we enjoyed movies up in the cozy loft.

The cottage is very cozy and nicely decorated. The location is great. Close to beach & shopping. The only issues we had were the coffee maker did not work properly and toilet roll holder in master en suite fell off the wall when attempting to place a roll of toilet paper. We had a great time. Our first impression of the Douglas Cottage was concerning as the front deck was missing. Once we got inside, though, our concerns went away as this is a truly beautiful property which is expertly decorated. We assume that they are in the process of rebuilding the deck. If we would have received some communication that this was happening, we would not have had any concerns. This is a split bedroom home with the master on one side of the house and the two other bedrooms on the other side. Thank you for sharing this lovely home with us. We really enjoyed our time there.

We had a wonderful time, such a convenient location, close to farmhouse, the root beer barrel, and the beach. We spent the weekend all over Saugatuck and Douglas and loved coming back to the fenced yard and screened porch at night. A really great house. Thanks for being such great hosts!
