Lekker ruim appartement op de bovenste (2e) etage waardoor je prachtig uitkijkt over het meer

Rafaella en Sergio verhuren met zorg en aandacht het compleet ingerichte appartement van hun oom. Zelf wonen ze verderop in het dorp en in de bergen. Rafaella is lerares Engels, Sergio spreekt een beetje Engels. Beiden heel aardig. Het appartement is ruim en schoon en, als je de luiken gebruikt tegen de zon, goed koel te houden. Het grote bed is mooi oud maar de matrassen zijn dat ook dus nogal hard. De andere 3 bedden zijn prima. Badkamer is oké. Dongo heeft een fijn grind- en grasstrandje op loopafstand aan de riviermonding met fris bergwater en er zijn genoeg restaurants en winkels. Het is niet toeristisch maar wel gezellig zonder lawaai. Stefano (vader Sergio) woont beneden en teelt heerlijke tomaten, courgettes, komkommers etc in zijn groentetuin. Overdag is hij in het bos om paddestoelen te verzamelen. Hij spreekt uitsluitend Italiaans en is heel behulpzaam. Je kunt vanuit hier heel makkelijk de bergen in lopen voor flinke dagtochten. Een (zeil)bootje of surfplank of sup huren kan ook. De rivier de Livo beklimmen vanuit Domaso is een aanrader op een hete dag met waterschoenen in zwemkleding. Een boottocht met één van de vele ferry's moet je zeker doen. Vanuit Menagio vertrekken er veel in diverse richtingen. Milaan ligt op 2 uur rijden. Kortom genoeg te doen voor een hele fijne vakantie. Dank Rafaella, Sergio en Stefano!

Un accueil chaleureux et généreux de la part de Stephano puis Raphaella et toute sa famille . L'appartement est spacieux ,situé prés d'une plage accessible à pied dans un paysage magnifique sans être envahie de touristes . Des vacances excellentes ,en immersion ,dans un bourg chargé d'histoire .
