My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Santer! We stayed in the newer building and the rooms were quite large with a lovely balcony and view. There is a nice walkway underground past the spa to get back to the lobby if it's raining or you don't want to walk outside. The spa is incredible! We did a private spa session which included a jacuzzi bath, sauna, a massage for both of us, and sandwiches/prosecco. It's two hours and totally worth the money! The hotel is a little distance from town center (~0.7 mi) so I would recommend a car which we had anyway to be able to explore as we wished. Downtown is quaint with several shops, hotels, restaurants, and a cute farm shop. Would love to come visit again!

Great hotel! Such a beautiful location, amazing interior design, rooms are hughhhh, fun and cozy. Didn't had the chance to enjoy the spa area, though it looks incredible. Hotel staff were nice, friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back.

The hotel spa is amazing, with free access to a number of pools, saunas and indoor/outdoor space. The room was ok though.. no black out curtains and no shower! There was only a bathtub with a handheld faucet, which I found extremely frustrating and messy (the whole bathroom was soaked after use!)

Nice but overpriced

Property is overall nice and in a very well connected position to both the Dobbiaco and other destinations (towns and trails). Staff is helpful and cordial, parking is easy to use and access. The room given to us belonged to a lower price-point, spa area is big but somehow confusing with instructions not consistent (in language and details). Moreover, despite being scheduled to open at 7.30am, we found most of the stations inactive (including the outdoor pool, where they decided to mow the loan at 10am) and lights off. Lastly, the staff mowing loan was wearing the same outfit you would see them use do redo rooms. Apron included...

Property has plenty of charm. Dining staff is very pleasant and eager to please. Front desk staff lacks warmth. When entering the front doors they wouldn't look up from their computers. I guess it was strange because we spent the previous 5 nights in a property that greeted us every time we came in or out.

We do not ski but hotel provides free tickets for the train and free walking poles/ snow shoes and local chair lifts will take walkers as well as skiers. Would be great to return in the summer when walking area greater. Outdoor jacuzzi pool great

Romantik Hotel Santer - complete Nordic charm

We stayed in Dobbiaco (Toblach) for a week in Sept. 2011 to hike and explore the Dolomites. Very helpful staff, beautiful alpine-typical hotel, nice location, great history of the hotel and owners on display in the halls. Would give it all 5 stars except that they charge for internet access, the parking lot is very small, and the open restaurant selections are somewhat limited. There are other places to eat nearby, so no problem. This hotel and the owner's family are a big part of Nordic skiing history in this part of Italy (daughter and son-in-law Olympic biathalon champions). Very interesting and beautiful area. Very few Americans find Dobbiaco, and it is a jewel. We felt lucky. English is rare--mostly German and Italian. The owner speaks fairly fluent English, as do a couple of the desk personnel.

Très bel endroit, propre et classe. L'équipe est vraiment attentionnée et efficace. La chambre était conforme aux photos, bien équipée, spacieuse, et avec sol chauffant dans la salle de bains. Excellente surprise cet hôtel. Le Spa est immense avec tout ce qu’il faut. Parfait pour se reposer des randonnées, voire pour s’occuper les jours de pluie. Les chambres sont immenses, le resto est très bon ainsi que le petit déjeuner. Tout le monde est adorable Bref bonne pioche pour visiter le coin Nord-est des Dolomites .
