I indicated our arrival & departure times on the documents that were sent by the management company months in advance. When I received a copy of the same document upon check in, the correct times that I indicated were noted. The day before check out I receive a text with 10am check out time. I reply with a reminder that our check out would be later & sent a screenshot of their document. I was then told the only way to secure a late check out would be to book another night. We went back & forth which went no where so I requested a phone call. In this 3 minute call the person told me it was a “glitch” in their system so they never saw the late check out time & the only way to check out late would be to pay for another night. You’d think that since they owned up to their glitch they would also take accountability to make it right, but to my surprise they instead doubled down & threatened to call the cops if we were not off the property by 10am! I’ve been in both the hospitality & property management business for decades and have never seen worse management of a situation. I don’t subscribe to the idea that the customer is always right, but reasonable accommodations should be made. They had no reason not accommodating us. Instead of having this peace of mind, the threat of the cops arriving to our house loomed around for the duration of our vacation. They also refused to heat the pool. Stay away from my vacation haven properties.“Namaste beaches, we’ll call the cops on you!”
