Peaceful tropical oasis

We had a lovely restful vacation at Les Vanilles. Clarisse is an excellent host, very welcoming and helpful. The gite is just right for a relaxing holiday for a couple- quiet, comfortable, and well located for exploring the Deshaies area & west coast of Basse Terre. We particularly enjoyed walking the coastal trail from Deshaies north to Grande Anse & beyond to beaches to the north, and swimming/snorkelling at local beaches.

An excellent stay!/Un excellent séjour!

Clarisse and Didi were the best hosts and the house was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed every moment of the stay and miss the place already. It was completely suitable for our kids too. It felt like home away from home and it was both because of the beautiful surroundings and the spirit the hosts created around them. Hope to be back soon! Clarisse et Didi étaient les meilleurs hôtes et la maison était absolument magnifique. Nous avons apprécié chaque instant du séjour et nous manquons déjà l'endroit. Il convenait également parfaitement à nos enfants. C'était comme à la maison loin de chez eux et c'était à la fois à cause du cadre magnifique et de l'esprit que les hôtes ont créé autour d'eux. J'espère être de retour bientôt!

Bonne adresse à Deshaies

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce logement à Deshaies. Situé dans un environnement calme et verdoyant, à l’écart du centre-ville mais accessible rapidement en voiture, il offre un vrai moment de tranquillité. Le logement est mitoyen d’une autre location, la piscine est partagée avec ce second logement, et les propriétaires vivent un peu plus en hauteur. Une place de stationnement gratuite est disponible, ce qui est bien pratique.La plage de Grande Anse est à peine à 2 minutes en voiture, un vrai plus !L’hôte a été très accueillant et disponible, avec un punch de bienvenue qui fait toujours plaisir. Le logement est bien équipé à l’arrivée : liquide vaisselle, éponge, filtres à café, huile, sel, poivre, ainsi qu’un rouleau de papier toilette et un sac poubelle. Pour un séjour plus long, il faut penser à se réapprovisionner, par exemple au Leclerc de Sainte-Rose.Comme souvent à Deshaies, la connexion wifi n’est pas optimale : pas de signal à l’intérieur du logement, mais elle fonctionne à l’extérieur.Un hébergement parfait pour profiter pleinement de la Guadeloupe dans une ambiance reposante !

Notre séjour aux Vanilles

Logement d'un très bon rapport qualité prix pour un séjour dépaysant et au calme. Le logement est très bien placé permettant un accès rapide à de superbes plages et au village de Deshaies pour les commodités. L'accueil de Claudia était très chaleureux et la bouteille de planteur bien appréciée. Petit bémol pour le sol de la salle de bain et la douche qui mériteraient un ménage en profondeur. Le reste de la location était propre. Belle déconnexion d'une semaine aux Vanilles pour nous. Merci

Un hâvre antillais, calme, beauté et authenticité !

Nous avons passé 10 jours dans le gîte de Clarisse. Tout est bien adapté à notre escapade caribéenne. J'ai adoré la cuisine en terrasse dehors, la configuration du gîte qui permet à tout le monde de profiter du paysage tropical et vert. La piscine au pied du gîte, que notre fils Tom a décidément bien utilisé est un atout indéniable. Et les petites attentions comme la glacière que l'on peut emmener avec soi lors de nos escapades, les produits ménagers, les condiments de base, très pratique pour démarrer le séjour sans avoir à commencer par tout racheter. Et surtout le gîte est idéalement placé pour qui veut découvrir et profiter du joyau qu'est Basse Terre, une très belle plage à moins d'un km, la plus belle de l'île : rien que cela !

Nous avons été accueillis comme des rois, et nous sommes sentis chez nous dès les premières minutes. Clarisse et Didier sont toujours disponibles pour nous aider. Le logement est simple et super fonctionnel et joliment décoré ! En pleine nature, on a pu profiter des petits oiseaux, colibris et compagnie chaque matin ! On y retournera sans hésiter !!!

Super séjour chez Clarisse et Didier!

Nous avons passés 5 jours super en famille dans la villa Maya. Malgré le confinement et les restrictions associées au COVID-19, nous avons pu profiter de la piscine, de la grande terrasse et de sa très chouette vue sur la végétation luxuriante tropicale. Le hamac, les oiseaux colorées et les poules nous ont permis de rendre ces instants de confinement sereins. Un grand merci à Clarisse et Didier pour leur gentillesse et bienveillance.
