The room was in good condition, but there were a few issues. 1) there was a smell eminating from the toilet 2) the bedside light worked intermittently, 3) the heating controls were hard to decipher and there were no instructions.

This was just the ticket for me - competitively priced, good location and clean place to stay whilst visiting family nearby. I would describe it as 'functional' not necessarily where you would stay as a destination but good if you need somewhere to stay en route to where you are going or attending a conference etc. Breakfast had everything you would expect.

There was this ever present weird smell... of old? Wasn't alone in it, as pretty much every other room seemed to have their windows open even though it was raining and cold outside. Otherwise I couldn't have complaint, but it is a rather big deal that nearly ruins the stay.

Unfortunately this trip i was given room 13...remote was still not working reminded me of then70's manually changing channels... Also the toilet wouldn't flush 😳 Otherwise all ok.

Very friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms. Menu for dinner was OK, not extensive but enough choice and the lasagne was brilliant. Free parking and even EV chargers if you have an electric car. Nothing bad to stay and far better experience than the last hotel I stayed at in the area which was a major chain. Will defiantly stay here again.
