The hotel was in a convenient place as close to everything we required during the weekend. We didn't use its facilities as ate and drank out in Derby. However the bed in the hotel was awful. It sank in the middle giving us the most uncomfortable sleep in a hotel ever. Ive never felt so unrested and tired.

Convenient city location

Second time staying at this hotel. Reception is still temporarily up on the 4th floor, accessible by lift. Very convenient city centre location. We were overlooking the bus station this time and could hear the busses with the window and curtains closed if you listened very carefully. The room we were in has recently been upgraded, but the new TVs are temperamental. They will cut out and drop the picture then state 'no signal' to which you have to turn over to a different channel and back again. We had this during our first visit to the hotel in a different room too - very annoying. Also, the shower doors leak badly, the seal in both rooms floods the floor badly. Reception staff have all been super friendly. They don't seem to serve soft drinks in pint sized glasses, just 'large' glasses which are smaller than pint glasses. Lovely finishing touches in rooms, for both stays. Christmas card at Christmas time and Valentines card in February. Will be returning here again.

Terrible breakfast

Lovely Hotel, Great room, clean and tidy. Everything was good except Breakfast which was awful. Nothing left and had to wait for something to appear all at different times. So had half breakfast warm and to go back for the other half later. Fruit juices run out, coffee machine broke, no sugar. It just went from bad to worse. The staff were very apologetic but you just got fed up keep asking for things. Gave up in the end
