We had high hopes, but unfortunately, this stay fell short. We reached out to the host hoping they’d make things right after finding that several advertised amenities weren’t usable—but the response was basically that we should’ve contacted them during our stay for repairs. While that might work for some, we were on vacation—not looking to manage maintenance issues. The BBQ didn’t work, the fire pit was unusable, the couch’s recliner was broken and sunk in, and the kitchen was stocked with worn-out cookware and hardly any utensils. There were only 2 hand towels in the kitchen, no potholders (I almost burned myself), and a blender with no lid. The dishwasher was broken and barely worked. The kitchen sink wouldn’t stop running. We found dried contact lenses on the upstairs bed—gross. The downstairs felt like a fire hazard with blocked windows, the side gate didn’t lock, and the back door was hard to shut. Oh, and the toilet paper? One-ply. I don’t know about you, but I don’t like wiping with sandpaper.Parking was super limited—tight driveway, and the street was always packed. The house had no “extras,” just basic shelter. Honestly, for the price, my home offers more. If you just need a place to sleep and don’t care about comfort or amenities, this could work. Otherwise, I’d look elsewhere. We took photos, but it won't allow me to upload.
