Very nice stay! Breakfast was good. The lobby/bar area was really cool! Room was comfortable and the towels were a great student, 2 problems the extraction fan was not working and the towel warming rack was not working. Close the train station. Parking was plentiful. Located right next to the Mick Jagger and Keith Richards Glitter Twins Statue, fun fact Dartford is the childhood home for both of them!

Room hadn't been cleaned properly there was a pair of underpants behind the radiator there was a cup in the sink with water in and white residue there was a razor cap in the soap holder in the shower the bathroom floor was really dirty with bits of yellow toilet paper stuck to the floor there was broken hanger and a bed wheel thrown into the draw with the kettle on the tea n coffee hadn't been replenished and I was given a iron that had the back smashed off. Overall I was very disappointed with my stay this time.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, the first time was in a double room and i was very satisfied. This time I stayed in a single room, the room was ok except you had to get out of bed to turn the light out, and the bed sheets were less than satusfactory.

Anyone giving this hotel a review which defines it as very good is misleading future guests. It barely qualifies to be described as good; no more, no less. It’s very good value (free car park and breakfast included) but on the whole this is a tired place. My room looked like it had last been decorated or refurbished 20 years ago, at best. It was advertised as superior but I’m not sure what it was superior to. It was bog standard. The carpets in the common areas looked like they were laid last century, and most recently hoovered a couple of years ago. Worn, filthy and dilapidated. Yes, the staff were friendly and efficient, but I feel like that should be the minimum standard in hospitality, rather than something that merits significant praise. There were cleaning materials left in the breakfast area, in the same place as food and crockery. And finally, if f-bomb-peppered racist banter is not your thing, then neither is the hotel bar. Even at 6pm.

Away for work

This was a 1-night stay for work. I was in room 107 and it was a good sized room with a large ensuite (watch out for the step down into ensuite). Tv and wifi were okay but bed was not comfortable. Nice large bath towels. Free parking at rear of venue - need to drive up as if you were going into public car park. Breakfast (included in my room cost) was good and hot - I had the full cooked breakfast.

The building is or should be a Listed Building, so much character. Ok no lifts rickety old floors and stairs, but that just adds to the experience. Really friendly staff, room ckean and well presented, cleaned and restocked every day of my stay, a rare thing in modern hotels. Good breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay.

The reception was not manned so had to check in at the bar. The building is old but that is no excuse to not clean to a high standard. Issue is it all needs refurbishing. All a bit quirky, uneven floors, lots of steps. No excuse for hairs in the bath plug hole. No soap. The last straw was no hot water in the morning. Breakfast was ok so I was less angry when I checked out. Staff apologised but just gave me an email address to write to. Bed very uncomfortable. £143 badly spent. It’s a shame as it could be so much better.

This was our second time staying here. We stay when we go to Brands Hatch for the BSB racing. The hotel is convenient and has parking. The rooms are old and tired and could be cleaner but bed linen and towels are very clean. The food in the bar wasn't great But we found a fab Chinese down the road. Breakfast was nice but it was a shame they didn't start serving until 8am on weekends, this meant we couldn't have it on Sunday as we would arrive at the racing too late. The bedroom was incredibly hot but a fan was provided which helped a bit.
