Everything was very old. There is barely any WiFi or cell service on the higher floors which they told me at check in. The TV lagged so much, it was unwatchable. Half the time, it didn’t connect. Lastly, it is across the street from a mini park that blasts music throughout the day when there is an event. If you’re unlucky enough to be facing the park, you will hear every song through the old windows. Would not stay here again. You’ll be paying for amenities that you don’t get to use.

It does state that it's pet friendly. The room was nice, the view was beautiful. They had places to eat nearby (Subway, Trompo Tacos and the exchange food hall) oh its right across the street from the At&t discovery district which the kids will love

After reading other reviews, I was worried we made a bad choice staying here. However, after our stay I'm going to assume those were just extremely picky people. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. Yes, the towel count in the room when we first got there was only 1 of each towel. This was quickly brought up to us after a quick request. A few reviews mentioned the air not working properly. I will agree here. It was warm in the room but only when trying to sleep. The beds were fine. The hotel is historic. Of course its going to show wear and be oddly laid out (microwave only on 1 floor and 1 ice machine). The location is excellent. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars. After everything, this was well worth the money we paid for the hotel. VALET: I feel like the valet is incredibly slow. We waited an hour for our car at check out and we were told 20 minutes when we first requested.

My stay was enjoyable. It's always a good day when you wake up and there's good coffee downstairs and a festival with music going on across the street. Very nice walkable area with lots of food and other necessities.

Overall, the Magnolia was nice. This is an older hotel, so some things are expected. However, you can tell they are trying to update it. The room was mosy clean with a few areas needing dusting. It is very cold, but you can easily ask for extra blankets. The thermostat was a little tricky to figure out. Thankfully, i didn't rent a car or else i would have paid $45 a night. The restaurant is closed. Additional security lock on doors was loose in both rooms, but one was really bad so they changed my room. Staff were very friendly. This could easily be a 5-star hotel again. Great price and proximity to American Airline Center. The bath tub is excellent and CLEAN!

Valet was extremely unclear and not well staffed. I arrived at the hotel to check in and parked next to the building, there wasn’t much room so I parked my truck next to several others in a separate area on top of a curb in a gravel area. There were NO Signs or Valet in the area. There was NO signage saying no parking either. When I came out at 6am the next morning to leave for the day to attend a meeting, there was a car blocking my truck and another truck from exiting. I found one employee, but his English was so poor and after trying to communicate for a few minutes he walked away. I could not be late for my meeting, and was able to squeeze my truck out, barely. I was a Valet in college, and I typically use Valet where available. I have the means to do so, and for convenience when staying downtown it’s almost a necessity. I found the employee walking away frustrating. My second afternoon returning to the hotel I again parked in the gravel area, no Signage or Employees present. The morning of 9/25/2025 I had to leave at 4;45 am to catch a flight. I found another car blocking my truck in. This time there was an employee present, wanted me to pay for Valet service that I didn’t receive..I ended up having to pay the employee $80 cash to move the car blocking my truck from leaving. I would have used the service, to guarantee the safety of my vehicle and for convenience when leaving for an early flight. NO Signage or EE’s ANY time I entered or parkedmy truck.
