Rooms are not clean, lights are not working so it’s dark. AC doesn’t work. Window blinds are falling apart.
My party stayed at the Magnolia when we were in town for a concert. The staff were friendly and helpful, it's a beautiful and historic building with lots to see nearby and they are pet friendly. The only parking option was valet which was over $40 per day. It's also downtown so if you want a quiet spot this isn't for you. There's a booming nightlife and loud vehicles. While I felt safe the entire time, there's definitely a homeless population that linger in the area too. The beds were not very comfortable, our room's AC didnt' work very well, the lighting wasn't sufficient (the room was dark), the TVs are out of date, there were carpet stains and the rooms havent' been updated for years. For a room to fit four people, there were two towels in the bathroom. Due to staff shortages which is common still, they don't clean the room daily which meant trash piled up and we needed to go to the front desk for TP and towels. They also lost their luggage carts so we had to drag everything down to the lobby ourselves. In my opinion, it's an expensive stay for a budget motel. It wasn't the worst but not a property I would highly recommend.
Great building, nice big rooms. Comfortable beds and really good shower pressure. Walking distance (10 mins) to Kennedy sites and plenty of shopping/restaurants nearby. Good part of town, and staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here next time.
Love the stay and hotel
The hotel staff was outstanding…every encounter was pleasantly welcoming. The hotel’s charm, location and cleanliness was top-notch.
Had water leaking in bathroom on floor called to get fixed since only staying one night they asked me to put towel down. When checked out dismissed again. The place used to be really nice not sure what happened.
Hotel is great area is a little sketchy
My stay was fine and the location was convenient for my meetings. The internet provided by the hotel was terrible, had almost no connection in my room. While the property is old the room was larger than expected, nice bathroom and enjoyed the windows and extra space. Bed was comfortable and since I was at the end of the hall there was not noise. Parking at $42 a day is a bit stiff but valets were quick and courteous.
A lot of homeless beggars when I went out to smoke but never felt unsafe
This property is across the street from party central. Outside large screen TV and big loud speakers for football games. This makes it hard for restful sleep. Lots of partiers screaming and loud cars and motorcycles. No hand soap at sink in bathroom. Showers are moldy, needs a makeover and place stinks of smoke and marijuana. 1st room we were given, we thought was still occupied. Dirty, beds unmade, trash and to go cups everywhere. 2nd room was somewhat better but all issues there prev mentioned. I definately paid to much. I Should of gone to a Fairfield Inn.
The staff was very kind and helpful. The room could use a complete overhaul. The blinds didn't work. The A/C in the room was weak.
The view was beautifully nice and clean i felt lik royalty
Vintage style experience
