Good Environment, great location

Communication with management/owner was not very good. I was unprepared for the check-in process. It was different than any other check in process. Having to download apps and have separate security deposits taken at check-in was horrible and inconvenient. The location was great for walking to the convention center and restaurants in the middle of town. The apartment was very nice, a little bit noisy but fulfilled our requirements.

The valet parking was complicated, the AC wasn't working properly and the host didn't respond when asked. Expedia didn't take care of the booking, we had to end up signing and sending personal info to a complete different platform with a rental agreement.. Very confusing and complicated.

Disappointing Experience

We were so excited to book this property, but quickly we’re let down. First the pros- it’s a beautiful space aesthetically, my family of 6 was able to spread out. The vending machine room was really fun for my kids. Glad to have a washer and dryer. Now the cons- paper thin walls- we heard people partying LOUD- until about 3am. No sleep. We took our 10 year daughter down to the pool and there was a used condom on the side. Absolutely nauseating. While this doesn’t reflect upon the unit owner- it needs to be noted. The floors of the unit were sticky. The shower curtain in the master doesn’t go all the way down and water gets everywhere. The kitchen wasn’t well stocked and we had to use a knife to jimmy open a bottle of wine. The listing states that the couch can be used to sleep on, but there were no extra sheets or blankets to be found, so it wasn’t an option for us. The unit has a strong smell similar to burning rubber. The bench at the dining table sounds and feels like it is ready to break in half every time you sit on it, and a chair at the bar is indeed broken. I received way too many complicated texts from management before check-in and after check-out. The walk from the valet to the unit is long and awkward (bring a wagon if you have lots of stuff!), and the main door to the building is next to impossible to open. Most people I witnessed were just waiting for someone else to come through to get in. The game room is presented in this listing as an amenity (part of why I chose to book), but it is closed due to Covid I assume. Overall, we were happy to have a place to lay our heads for the night- but it was the least pleasant, most expensive experience I’ve had using VRBO. We couldn’t wait to get out of there in the morning.

This property was disgusting Our room was not cleaned from previous tenants, left over food left in frig, dirty food covered dishes left in dishwasher, dirty rug left in washing machine, garbage in trash cans, bathrooms dirty… The area was not safe homeless people all around Left immediately, lost out on $700 owners not willing to work with us had to go get a hotel room Would NOT recommend to anyone!!

Refund Required

My main reason for a poor review of this property is I signed up for a ride from the airport with notes saying 4 people, 2 children with booster seats. The link to receive a ride from the airport was sent to me from the host. The ride was not waiting for us as advertised. Then through phone calls the ride that was still 20 minutes away after we were already waiting 20 minutes only had a small car that would not fit all 4 of us with luggage. I was promised a refund from the driver as well as the host of this property. Over 2 weeks later I STILL have not received the refund. On top of this the property is advertised with a patio/balcony and there is not one. Cob webs hanging from the ceiling and a shower curtain that is much to short for the master bathroom.

Beautiful home

We loved the home. It was as pictured and super spacious. The home is lovely and very neatly designed. The valet parking was nice and the wait time for the car wasn't bad. However, the building is older and has an odor that gave us headaches. That with the surroundings made us check out early. There are homeless people on the sidewalks close to the location and a park right across the street with questionable people. Our kiddos spent all the time we were there watching things they had never experienced through the front window. Odor and location made us check out and go to a regular hotel.
