Space was roomy for 2 adults and a teenager. Fireplace was already setup and ready to go, making it easy to keep warm.The outdoor fire pit was also setup with plenty of wood. Kitchen area had heaps of options- toaster, air fryer, pod coffee machine, electric kettle, microwave, large gas oven and cooktop. Quiet peaceful stay will lots of birds/ nature just outside your door

Delightful Winter Cabin Stay in Coonabarabran

Our first time visiting Coonabarabran and had an absolutely wonderful time staying in this cabin. Located on a property just outside of the main town, the cabin is very well equipped, we particularly liked the full sized kitchen. The pantry included some basics such as teas and coffee. The cabin has a main bedroom in a loft (people with mobility issues will find it difficult to access up the ladder/stairs) with a day bed in a sunroom that can be left set up, or a sofa bed in the lounge area. The cabin was lovely and warm our entire stay (July) thanks to the wood fired heater (wood is provided) and the host Mish made sure it was lit and warm for our arrival.Communication with host Mish was exceptional and Mish was always available to reach out to if needed (everything was good for us though)Phone reception for us was patchy (Telstra). Limited WiFi is provided at the property, but is not suitable for heavy downloads or video streaming.Overall we loved our stay in this cabin and we will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Coonabarabran. Thank you Mish!

Peaceful cottage getaway

We loved our stay and would highly recommend this unexpected find!Mish, the host, was excellent with communication and thoughtfully prepared the cottage with little touches such as easter eggs for the kids.It was a very comfortable stay, the house well set up with a dishwasher, large fridge and gas oven/stovetop, as well as an outdoor bbq. The woodfire was easy to use and kept the place cosy overnight.Downstairs, the daybed and sofabed were good for the kids while we appreciated retreating up the stairs to the loft to fall asleep in a very comfortable bed. The cottage, being 4 mins drive from the main part of Coonabarabran, meant it was peaceful at night and lovely to wake up to birdsong and a curious rosella at the loft window.There was lots of colourful artwork and books, the kids enjoyed the board games and also the large garden...also befriending the horses next door. The cottage was large enough for four of us to be together and also had separate areas for downtime. It was less than 30 mins from Siding Spring observatory and the Warrumbungle national park, and took about 12mins to get to Donna the Astronomer's stargazing show.We left after four nights feeling like we'd had a relaxing change of pace from city life, but with all the comforts of home.

PERFECT PEACEFUL PLACE

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this property and were so happy to see that it was available again after a recent refurbish. So quirky and comfortable with everything we could need for our stay. We love the hot tub and fire pit and the view of the night sky from right outside our door was wonderful. The trees and birds are amazing and we sleep so well. Cant wait to return thank you!
