Carla is fabulous. My wife and I connected with her several times, including in advance of booking to see if the cabin was suitable for our Milky Way viewing adventure that required our setting up at at a clearing two miles from the cabin at 4 a.m. She filled us in on the lions and bear situation and details of access. We encountered a flash blizzard on the way to Florissant killing our hiking plans, so she gratuitously let us in early. The cabin was comfortable and my wife really enjoyed the contemporary pellet stove fireplace. Although it was 70 when we arrived in Denver, it was 0 at 4:30 AM when we filmed the Milky Way, so being able to fire up the stove in a few minutes after we returned at 5 AM was really blissful. We slept in the bigger bed, which was quite comfy. We made breakfast in the kitchen every morning. It felt like we were living the idyll.

Great stay near Pikes region!

The cabin was in a great rural location, but still close enough to everything I wanted to do or anything I could possibly need. Great launching pad for me and my dog for all the adventures of hiking and more!

The silence is golden

When looking for a place to stay for a couple days before heading north I was originally looking in Colorado Springs but I'm glad I considered staying further west. This property is within an hour of most anything you'd want to see in the area but is quiet and peaceful. Also had an incredible view of the stars at night. Carla was communicative and has a lovely place to stay. You won't regret booking this property.

Quiet getaway.

Everything was exactly what I expected with one recommendation for improvement. The bath towels smelled of cigarette smoke. Perhaps the cleaning crew were smoking while folding or stocking the towels. Pretty unpleasant. Otherwise it was perfect!

Great cabin for a spring retreat

My sister and I stayed here with my dog and loved the place. Very comfy set-up, plenty of space and stuff to do, near interesting natural attractions and beautiful scenery. We enjoyed some long walks around the area, used the kitchen to make meals, and took advantage of the tv and streaming apps while staying up later than we should.

Nice cabin

This property is in a nice location - close to some of our favorite places to visit. We got there just in time for an arctic blast and we stayed warmer with just the baseboard heaters than we do in our own home! Didn't even have to use the pellet stove.

Couple getaway

The cabin was very nice and a short drive to town. We enjoyed our visit. It was centrally located to a bunch of the attractions we wanted to visit, we usually don't do the tourist stuff but we wanted to this time and it worked perfectly to see pikes peak and seven falls etc. We used the fire pit in the evening a lot. There were quite a few deer passing by every day.

Cabin in Florissant

Cabin was clean and cozy. Carla was very helpful (especially when we locked ourselves out) and kind. She promptly answered any questions we had. Loved sitting on the porch and using the gas fire pit. Would be perfect if queen bed mattress was replaced-not comfy for two adults sleeping together.
