I love Colonial Beach, and I always stay at Rivers Edge Inn. It was Days Inn when I first start visiting Colonial Beach. Staff is Awesome and the rooms are immaculate. It is my kind of vibe for comfort and tranquility.

Took 10 minutes for a staff to check me in after I arrived--they were nowhere to be found despite calling as instructed twice and knocking on employee only doors. Floor in the room was dirty, couldn't walk around barefoot. Shower was very weird where you could have a hot shower or a cold shower but in the middle it just turned off. Gave some real thought to staying somewhere else even though the money for this reservation was already gone. Do not recommend.

We stayed here two times before which seemed better. For this visit, we had a dirty mattress cover, the breakfast was very basic. Cereal seemed stale. In the past there were more food options. Also, the last night was noisy as our neighbors hung outside on picnic tables which are very close to hotel room doors. They were noisy until after midnight. Positive-fresh towels each morning.

This was our first time visiting Colonia Beach and staying at the River Edge Inn. The staff were friendly, professional and provided great ideas of things to do and see while in town. Shawna was amazing we really appreciated her and the rest of the staff who made us feel welcomed and comfortable.

It is a good place a quality time with family. Its closeness to beach makes it very convinient. However, the breakfast room is too small, and very limited breakfast options.

The location of the hotel could not be better, VERY close to the beach. But the hotel is very dated, shabby rusted furniture in the rooms. Parking lot and pool deck are not well maintained. The rooms are non-smoking, but they have tables and chairs right outside the room doors where people are always out smoking.
