Fantastic Food and service

An absolutely beautiful pub with lovely rooms in a really picturesque village. All of the staff were friendly and professional, the service was excellent. Room was lovely, really cosy and warm. Excellent shower. Excellent choice at the bar, with 4 hand pull beers as well as a choice of lagers. The food was just superb! Great choice, clearly homemade, fantastic quality. Would absolutely recommend.

Lovely Country pub/hotel with excellent service.

We stayed at Higher Buck whilst attending a recent wedding, and it was a great experience. Plenty of car parking space (could do with a car charger). We had a really nice welcome, and were shown to a really nice room. Tastefully decorated, kettle, tea & biscuits! Good bathroom, with very nice towels and goods etc. We left for our wedding through the restaurant, which was packed and the food looked good. The room was very nice, and the only reason for 4* on comfort was that the room was very hot, and having to have the windows open meant that the road noise was an issue. Breakfast was great - very high quality and very nice service. I would strongly recommend this inn - but I would ask for a back room away from the road

Very friendly staff, nice big room (called falow), excellent breakfast, excellent evening meal staff very helpful sorting out a taxi for us, the room was warm due to heatwave so needed to keep windows open so we did notice some noise from the kitchen fans but this could not be helped. Very good car parking. Overall an excellent 2 day visit and would highly recommend.
