We arrived and things looked really cute from the outside. Inside was a total disaster. First of all the smoke alarms were both going off when we came in. We went out, ran into somebody who handed us a battery and said try this. After my husband fixed the smoke alarms, we went back in and proceeded to start unpacking. When I opened the fridge to put our groceries in the most horrible smell eliminated from it and I could tell the fridge was warm. When we looked inside, there was mold covering the inside doors of the fridge. That obviously was very disgusting. We opened up the closet doors in the kitchen area to the washer and dryer to find somebody’s dirty underwear and a towel on top of the washer and dryer. We went multiple times to go speak to who I can only guess was the property manager, maybe the owner? And his response was “can I talk to you later? I’m giving an interview right now“ he finally did tell us that he would call the property manager to come and look at the issues. Well, we had driven six hours to get there so that we could attend an event that night that we were going to be late from. We called Vrbo and they had us send pictures of everything and long story what I haven’t gotten is a refund. The place was literally uninhabitable. The man that I’m assuming was the owner/ property manager literally told us “oh maybe – in regards to the dirty underwear and towel said “ sometimes people get in there”. There is a homeless shelter right next-door no secondary lock
