Green Hotels in Chuburna Puerto

"With 5 bedrooms and 5 baths the house handled 11 people beautifully. Although the houses on the block are close together, the outside area was secluded and resort-like. The kitchen and patio were well appointed plenty of furniture, cookware and dinnerware - but there is no dishwasher. The description says the courtyard can accommodate 2 cars inside the gate but we were able to easily park 3. Be sure to read the "House Book" for tips and the house manager was very accommodating of our questions. We made a big Costco run but also enjoyed the restaurants and marina in Chuburná with an Ojo de Aqua boat/kayak/mangroves trip to the west of Chuburná. It's a low-key beach town and free of tourists. We also spent a day in Mérida and then in Progreso which were entertaining and took a day trip with a driver and guide to Chechen Itza. "

"The house was a perfect beach house and the backyard and pool were amazing. Mike who helps take care of the house was really helpful during our stay and we found the house to be very comfortable. The area is very safe and peaceful. The beach that is a short walking distance is swimmable but a bit eroded (like most of the coastline). But the beach about 10 minutes drive (past Chuburná) was truly awesome with turquoise clear water, a large expanse of white sand, shallow enough for kids to play safely, and not overrun with other people. "
