Spacious room, good restaurant service

We had no idea a prom was being held so parking very difficult. Due to prom we were told we could not eat in the restaurant until after 8. We booked a table for 8:30 to be told good stopped at 8. Luckily the chef said it was ok and we could order. Had a nice meal and waiting staff were very helpful. Could not have breakfast as we wanted to as this finished at the early time of 9:30.

Weekend stay

The staff are lovely but we had a standard room and the bed was very uncomfortable, they could do with being upgraded. I have stayed in travel lodges and premier inns with better mattresses. Over all the stay was nice lovely to have access to the pool and spa that made the weekend away even better. The weather wasn't nice so unable to sit outside however that would have been nice. My daughter has disabilities and the staff were all amazing with her and very patient.

Ok but wouldn’t stay again

Went as we were guests of a wedding. Looks lovely at first glance but when you enter it’s extremely tired. Rooms are in very poor state. Beds uncomfortable. The staff however are amazing and hardworking.

Rooms let it down

The arrival through the golf course in the sunshine was spectacular. And access to the gym and pool is a bonus. Sadly, the hotel part does not live up to the golf part. Rooms are well over due a refurb, very tired condition and on the night I stayed incredibly hot with no fans available in the room or at reception.

The deluxe bedroom upgrade was not deluxe with very old bathroom fittings, windows difficult to open (sash), very noisy squeaky floorboards in our room but we also heard distinctly the boards from adjacent room (at 3.00am !). Also noisy conversations from adjacent room Very expensive breakfast at £15.00 each (not taken) Good local restaurants and pubs in short driving distance.

The Hotel is a lovely building and the grounds are beautiful, we were upgraded to another room which was so spacious and comfortable and the bed was so comfy, Jamie and i didn't get the other mans name on reception, they were amazing, made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble, i would stay here again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very dated but clean, spacious and extremely comfy and offered a good nights sleep. Public areas were best and tidy, unfortunately I didn’t get chance to try the restaurant or spa. I would visit again - thank you
