The classic The Chicago Hotel Collection Ambassador Gold Coast is an excellent hotel. Its super posh neighborhood in the Gold Coast makes it a terrific place to settle to see the best of Chicago. There is a parking lot across the street with an all in $58 a nite price tag. Or, if you'd rather be super posh, they have valet service. The room was clean and quiet, however I wasn't a fan of the extra firm mattress or the quartet of elongated puff pillows. Still, I would recommend the hotel based on its vicinity and rich history. It was also not expensive, but that fluctuates weekly.

Check in with Vontae was amazing. He made me feel very welcome! Each day when I saw him he was always great and remembered my name. The entire vibe here is comfortable. It's nice to be in a neighborhood rather than on a busy and loud road. Restaurant on sight is a treat!

Location was great! Walking distance to the Red line CTA station, which we took all over town. The free breakfast was restaurant quality, well beyond a typical hotel breakfast. The bar was lively and fun, so the 2 free drinks were a nice plus.
