Great Stay, Great Value

Very professional hotel, amazing value. Everything was well thought out and comfortable. Though note, the bed in my room featured a particularly firm mattress (Asian style). If you are used to Western mattresses, it could be an adjustment. Might be nice if the hotel offered a few rooms with Western style mattresses. But otherwise, the hotel was great, including the location.

The room is in a good location, and provides a variety of supplies, hair dryers, shower shampoo, etc. It is quite complete, clean and tidy👍👍 The subway station is very near, about 7 minutes walk away. The hotel staff are polite.

Great location and amenities

I really enjoyed Daiwa Roynet Chiba! Inside my room was a massage chair, which I used a lot. It was only 3 minutes walk from Chiba Station. There are lots of conveniences nearby: shopping in the station, combinis, restaurants, etc. There is even a great pizza and steak restaurant on the 1st floor. The only thing that was initially confusing is the front desk is on the 2nd floor.

Daiwa has really good staff and breakfast options and is right by the Chiba station with easy access to a number of other places (such as Tokyo). The beds are rather firm, but everything else was excellent with our stay.

I’ve had several problems with Expedia over the years where I search for something, but when I book, it’s something different. I didn’t realize my booking was for 1 person, even though I searched for “1 room 2 travelers”. The hotel manager was inflexible even though we’ve stayed here about 50 nights in the last 7 years. We’ll take our business elsewhere next time.
