The hotel staff were friendly and extremely helpful. They set up our visit to an excellent elephant sanctuary and got cabs for us at reduced rates. The location was excellent.

Don’t choose the cheapest and smallest room type.

The ‘design room ‘ without window is way too small for the price I paid compared with other similar B & B in Chiangmai. it looks like a store room converted to a room for single travellers. Good side is this B & B is clean all around, with a decently small size swimming pool at the heart of Chiangmai.

To start the Lana Tree has two properties! They are close together they are not connected! I book with friends and we end up at separate properties I changed my room but did lose my money for the room at the one property as it was a no refund deal. Moved to the other property and the deal wasn’t anything wonderful as I could have got the same deal on line. On that note the hotel is decent room was nice, staff were exceptional (that the value to this property) would I stay here again probably not!

We love Lanna Tree!

We love the Lanna Tree boutique. They were friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and spacious for our trip in Chiang Mai. The location was good in old town 10 minute walks to most temples and restaurants. The front desk called a taxi for us to the airport for 150 baht.

Lovely Chiang Mai retreat

I absolutely love this place! From the friendly, helpful and generous staff to the super clean, modern and updated rooms...a wonderful pool and sweet garden setting! Oh and the location is ideal too. I can't wait to go back.

Overall Nice Accommodations

Lanna Tree is a very nice hotel with all the necessities and a great staff in a convenient location.Accommodations good although each room and the hotel grounds themselves, on the small size. Proximity lends to a bit of noise exposure at times, including periodic staff maintenance work and noisy neighboring residents. Little, if any, English-speaking TV channels. Lastly, the septic/sewer stopped working our first day resulting in no toilets for about a day or so. However, the staff which was consistently great throughout our stay, immediately began attempting to resolve the issue.

Great One Week Stay!

Room type: I booked through hotels.com and I definitely didn’t receive the room that was in the photo but I did get a good room and didn’t book directly so it wasn’t a big deal. Pro: I was able to get checked in early (lucky). The shower was nice and always had hot water. The bed was comfortable. There was a balcony that faced the pool. Plenty of tours to book at the hotel if you have not. Con: The AC unit faced the bed and the air would either be too cold or get a little stuffy when I turned it up or off. Side note: the AC does turn off when you leave the room and there’s no microwave only a mini refrigerator Service: Housekeeping would come by if you wanted and they did a good job cleaning the room. Front desk people were friendly and informative. Natee was amazing! Thanks for all your help! Location: It was perfect! Near the three kings monument and the Thae Pae Gate for the Loy Krathrong festival. Plenty of restaurants and massage places nearby and a market down the road as well. Super rich money exchange is where you want to go if you need more baht. ATM outside the building.

Had to change room as room by front road very noisy with tuk tuks, and bathroom cramped. Staff excellent and happy to change room. New room great. Only thing missing is a safe. Great location with lots of laneways to explore nearby.

Lanna Tree Hotel was a pleasant stay. Staff were very helpful any time we needed anything whether tour and event info, cab rides, or general Chiang Mai information. The front desk was well staffed. Pool was perfect temperature. Beds were nice with comfortable pillows. Price is competitive with equivalent standards. We loved the neighborhood too!

Great hotel for lots of reasons

Great place to stay - clean large modern room, good location and brilliant pool. The beds were pretty comfortable, plenty of hot water, fairly quiet (all rooms are accessed along a long balcony and all overlook the pool so I'd expect it could get busy in high season). Breakfast is not included in the room booking but there a plenty of places to eat in the street. I would stay again.
