It was clean and the host was quick to respond. The hot tub was great after a long day of skiing. The house is a bit dated.

Extended Family getaway

The house was the perfect size for our large family to gather for the holidays. The kids had plenty to do with the pool table and foosball table. The house had a few sleds and we went on hikes and went sledding. The hot tub was really nice as well. The house could have used a few more pieces of cutlery , but other than that, it was a wonderful stay!

Beautiful soaring Adirondack home, fantastic deck and hot tub (perfect working order), well appointed kitchen. We had a great time, John was very responsive, and would stay again! We had some issues with heat, though. Despite following instructions (heat upstairs first). the registers in the bedrooms simply wouldn’t go on (it was 3 outside, needless to say the bedrooms were pretty frigid). House finally came up to temp day 3, and then the bedroom heat mysteriously came on, and all was well!

Friends weekend

I rented this house for myself, and seven of my friends including my husband. Overall, this property is exceptional. The house is beautiful. The beds are very comfy. There is plenty of space to spread out and the kitchen is huge and extremely well stocked. We enjoyed the hot tub very much. The fireplace was awesome and the downstairs game room with a bar is really cool. it was a nice quiet place for us to just relax and have a great weekend. I would 100% recommend this property. The host was very quick to respond when I asked questions and very very helpful especially when I accidentally left my glasses on site. He was kind enough to mail them to me . We will definitely be back for another weekend like this!

Mouse Poop

This property seems beautiful and the perfect location, and maybe some of it was. But it is listed as holding 13 people and having all separate rooms. One of the areas to sleep in was a pull out couch in the basement. When opening that couch there was mouse poop and a pee stain on it. Completely unsanitary and not a place I would let anyone sleep. Because of this my party of 13 had to scramble to find something for two people to sleep on. When I informed the owner of the issue he didn’t seemed concerned at all. I would be wary staying here unless you don’t mind sleeping with the mice.

This is large home with five bedrooms (great for a family to spread out) and we also appreciated being able to bring our small dog. The host is extremely responsive and willing to help. There are several things that could be improved to make this property so much better. First of all, when it’s hot outside it’s also very hot in this house. There are two small air conditioners in the living area and a portable one that we had to install in the upstairs bedroom. Half of us ended up having to sleep in the basement because it was just too hot to sleep upstairs. There were rodent droppings in the basement in the pullout sofa so we couldn’t sleep there. My daughter and her husband ended up sleeping on the floor. The furniture in the house, primarily in the living area, needs an upgrade. The outside of the house has a lot of junk visible under the deck and the windows were very dirty and so was the deck. Overall, we had a great host and a large house to spread out. We wouldn’t stay again primarily because it’s so hot inside when the temps are above 75 outside.
