The communication with the manager was good. She responded quickly to every message. Compared to several other VRBOs we've stayed in, this rental wasn't a favorite. We arrived to find both shower curtains laying on the floor (inexpensive tension rods that did not work well with the width of the shower - which the cleaning crew discovered, as well and left them for us to deal with). The washer did not work - which we found out the night before we left when we tried to run a load before our travel home. The house isn't decorated at all, there is no wall art, no curtains or shades on the main floor windows, and the furniture appears to all be second or third hand thrift pieces. The amenities were also lacking for the price point and scale of home, in our opinion. There were no toiletries provided, no small appliances that we have typically found with rentals at this price point (no crock pot, mixers, large skillets, cutting boards, hair dryers, toiletries, paper towels, etc.) The house is very large, but the floor plan and furniture set up is a little wonky to allow a large group to gather comfortably in one space. We booked the home with the intention of hosting Christmas eve with our large family, but the lack of kitchen staples and comfortable furniture to accommodate a large group caused us to change our plans. The overall impression is that the owner's priority isn't providing a luxury house rental experience but rather to sell this currently listed home.
