Excellent location. Very clean and upscale. Lacking room service, they offer an inexpensive breakfast sandwich at the Red Door, however it was unavailable for some reason. Cheapest toilet paper I’ve ever used.

The hotel overall is very beautiful. The staff is kind and professional. They sent a celebration gift for my moms birthday which was very kind. We were a little disappointed in our room. It was smaller than expected and the bathroom had a barn door that kept getting stuck.plus not much privacy. They left a slicer cup in lit room but it was used. Front desk replaced it. housekeeping did not come to clean one day and there was no water or paper in the bathroom by the pool. Aldain helped with chairs at the pool and was very helpful. Food decent. Drinks okay. Pool gorgeous ! Atmosphere fabulous!

Charming hotel

Had the best girls’ getaway at The Mills House! The central location made it easy to explore all the best of Charleston on foot. The hotel is beautiful, with tons of charm and Southern character. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Perfect spot for a fun and relaxing stay with the girls!

We enjoyed our stay immensely. We’re locals who wanted to do a stay-cation. First time staying in a hotel downtown Chas. Our houses are right around the corner! Next time we stay we’ll get a room by the pool with the cute gates and patios. The staff is always great. We’ve ate many times at the Iron rose and Brian is an absolute gem. We get him as our waiter every time and can’t say enough good things.

We loved staying here for our kids spring break. Great location, walked everywhere. We parked ourselves in the deck behind the hotel which was easy and convenient (also significantly less that if you chose the valet option). Hotel was beautifully decorated and enjoyed some complimentary champagne one afternoon. Only downside was that the room was a bit small for 4 people. Would absolutely stay here again but without kids or do 2 rooms. Thought it was a little pricey but wanted a great location and a pool rather than doing a VRBO.

Great location beautiful hotel

I loved room 402, which looks over the pool and courtyard. The outdoor areas are so beautiful, and the location is perfect for everything in the historic district. One tip to the traveler: If you drink as much water as I do, they have a fantastic filtered water machine with their hallway ice machine. However, you have to put your hand over the sensor to get the best service out of it; it doesn’t seem to recognize the glass or the bucket. The front desk told me that tip when I called, and I stayed hydrated because of it.
