The hotel is a little on the older side, but our stay was fantastic. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is in a great location; within walking distance of a lot of restaurants and shopping. When I stay in Masan, I always return to this hotel.

This is an older hotel with some updates. The location near the train station & city bus routes is excellent. Couldn't figure out how to get power to one side of the room, but was only staying the night and spent little time in the hotel room. The cafรฉ was good. I didn't find the cafรฉ or hotel staff to be very attentive. But they weren't rude.

I went to Ma San for a banquet. Arirang Hotel was quite old. But very closed to the Ma San Station, and the bus terminal to the Gimhae Airport (Busan).

the check in was the fastest i have ever had. i had stopped by on a different day to ask a question and the staff went out of their way to accomodate me even though I was not a guest at the time. smallish room, typical Asian mid-range hotel. got the room because i was on the last train from seoul to masan and it was convenient to station

Objective review

I am a budget traveller so when I look for a hotel I have a set criteria and when criterias are met I choose the one with he lowest price. This hotel fits my criteria becoz it is right next to the train station, has no 10% hotel tax and 5 minutes walk from the intercity bus station. If you value proximity to transport hubs a lot then this one might be for you. Next,the not so good things about this place. I have a high standard for cleanness and this place is a little dusty,little run down, below the hotel there is a nightclub and you can hear the boom boom boom everywhere, and especially in the elevator (it feels like being in the club). Th e noise from the club and the "retro" vibe aside,if you are lucky the staff will be quite helpful to you. There was a younger guy who helped us order delivery to our room, recommended restaurants, made new room keys and looked after our luggage while we explore the town. Overall, I would recommend here to anyone with a budget, you will be entertained by the good and more so the not so good qualities.
