Very clean room. Parking is tight. I have stayed on both sides of the hotel, try to get upstairs opposite side of freeway to avoid noise. Otherwise a great reasonable choice.

Nice local hotel

Currently under construction and should look great when done. We stayed on a Sunday so no construction noise. Staff very friendly. Clean and quiet. Could not figure out where the exercise room was. Breakfast in a building adjacent to the main hotel.

A solid choice

On our latest trip to the Shakespeare Festival, we checked out the venerable Abbey Inn. There are only a couple of things I’d change. The hotel is about a mile from the festival (farther than I remembered) and that stretch of 200 North isn’t the most walkable, especially on a hot day, so you’ll most likely want to drive (on the plus side, free parking abounds at the festival). Also, the sink/vanity, toilet and shower are all in the same room, which can be mildly inconvenient for families. Everything else was great. The room and breakfast house were very clean despite ongoing construction on the south end of the hotel. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the breakfast offerings were decent and well-stocked.

A good place to stay, nothing exciting, but fine. The beds were mid-level - not as soft as I like, but not too hard. The pool was nice, and breakfast was decent. We could hear some noise from other rooms, but it wasn't too loud, and we use a white noise maker to cover most of it up.
