Super Cloudside stay

Chris, who greeted us on arrival, was very friendly and welcoming. The room had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean, very neat and a super comfortable bed. The touch of humour in the house rules made them fun to read. The mini kitchenette in the passage was great with microwave, fridge, cutlery and crockery. Higly recommended.

Superb stay. Only one night, wished we had stayed for several more. Just a warning - steep stairs in the front to get to the hotel. Never tried the back entrance, so I do not know about that. Would definitely stay here again if in Nelson.

We loved staying here! The house has a great story. We had a small room, but it was just enough for what we needed. I want to go back and stay in one of the larger rooms. They look like fun. The staff were helpful and kind. Parking, as is for all facilities in Nelson, is a problem. The Cloudside handles that by paying parking meters of patrons wherever they park.

Great experience!

The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. There are a lot of stairs in the hotel, so be aware. It’s in a great location right downtown so you can walk everywhere.

The room we stayed in was exceptionally small. For nearly $200/ night, it features a great location, but the mattress was dated, the room was hot, and there was no in room coffee maker.

A beautiful characterful grand home caringly made into a fine hotel. Room was well appointed, albeit small - the Fir room, and perhaps we should in retrospect have taken a bigger room.
