We had the most amazing time at Francesca’s villa. The villa was beautiful and had the most amazing views. We felt like we’re in a movie. It was exactly what we were looking for in terms of experience in Tuscany. The villa had all the modern amenities but with a rustic Tuscan farmhouse vibe. The extra bonus was being able to work with Francesca and Ambra through their company The Best of Mas. They worked with us for over a year to help us plan a once in a life time trip, from logistics, to dinner reservations, wonderful day trips and tours in Tuscany, Sorrento and Capri. We will recommend The Best of Mas to any of our family and friends who are planning a trip to Italy. We can’t wait yo go back!

The property was lovely. Secure, private entrance with lovely backyard views overlooking Siena’s landscape. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. The perfect spot to enjoy dinner, drinks, or to simply relax with the book. Francesca was the perfect host, and help to make our stay carefree. From our pick up at the train station, trip to the grocery store, welcome dinner preparation with great conversation, trip planning, on-site rental cars and a private driver for our trip to and from Florence…we couldn’t have been more pleased. Francesca and her group made this one of our best stays.

We had a wonderful stay at Capanna Al Lago The property has gorgeous, views of the picturesque Tuscan countryside. The property is peaceful and secluded, yet just minutes away from Sienna, making it the perfect getaway for relaxation. The spacious house is attractively decorated, blending traditional charm with modern comforts. Nicely accommodated bedrooms and bathrooms ensure a comfortable stay for all guests. The views are are enhanced by a pool, adding to the ambiance and likely providing a refreshing retreat on warm days although the weather was not warm enough during our stay. The hot tub is well maintained, with powerful jets that make it a great spot for relaxing under the stars. A nearby supermarket made it easy to prepare meals, which we enjoyed on the patio table in the beautiful surroundings. We found it a good location for exploring the Tuscan countryside, medieval towns, and other sights. Francesca is a wonderful host and the team at Best of Mas was a delight to work with. We will be going back again in the future. Highly recommended.

Absolutely Epic week in Tuscany!

Absolutely Epic week in Tuscany – and all thanks to Francesca and Best of Mas! We spent a week in Siena at one of her villas. Unbelievable is the only word I can think of to describe it - from the villa itself, to the pool, the hot tub, the fireplace, the bedrooms, and the bathrooms…everything was top notch. Add in the fantastic authentic Italian dinner Francesca personally cooked for us at the villa, the tours of Montepulciano and Pienza with Pepino driving us in a Mercedes Benz, and an unforgettable wine tasking bike tour led by Enrico, and I can’t give Francesca and the Best of MAS team a high enough recommendation!

Beautiful Tuscan Home with a fantastic view.

We had a great stay in this home enjoying the views of the Tuscan country side. It is located close to Siena and is a perfect place to stay to make day trips to many towns and villages in Tuscany. Francesca was very attentive and helpful in explaining everything about the house and property. We would definitely stay again if ever in the area.

A truly amazing experience

We cannot be more thankful to Francesca and Best of MAS! From the moment we reserved the home to the moment we were driven back to the airport, our experience was wonderful. The communication was stellar. Best of MAS and Francesca immediately reached out to arrange our airport transfer and ask if we wanted to arrange a welcome dinner. We rented a car from Best of MAS and are so happy we did. Everything was so easy and worry-free. We would highly recommend arranging for the airport transfer back to the airport as there is no Uber in Siena and one would have to take two trains to get back to the airport, not worth the hassle. Francesca is so kind, welcoming, friendly, and professional. The home is wonderful and so spacious and peaceful. The views are spectacular. Our welcome dinner was prepared according to our dietary restrictions and it was delicious. Siena is a wonderful town full of friendly people and delicious food. Thank you again, Francesca and Best of MAS!!

An absolute gem

The property is an authentic Tuscan dream and the view is so stunning it is almost unreal. Francesca is an excellent host whose personal history with the house shines through in her attentiveness and care of her guests and their experience while visiting. 100% recommended.

Beautiful views but the cleaning charge???

Really loved the property and location...house was really well equiped. BUT...a cleaning charge of €250 and paying for excess use if electricity? Come on...that was ridiculous.

Tuscany in May

We loved our stay! There were 5 adults and plenty of room for all of us. The house looks similar if not better than the photos. It’s very peaceful and relaxing. Francesca made everything very easy for us - including rides to and from the airport, and having a rental car ready to go for us at the house. The highlight for us was the cooking class that came to us. (Also arranged by Francesca) Delicious food and an amazing experience!

Amazing views from a wonderful property

We had a wonderful stay in Siena. You absolutely can't beat the views and the location! We were a short drive into the heart of Siena and were able to take day trips in all directions to other beautiful towns in Tuscany. The host was absolutely amazing. She greeted us upon check in and helped us at a moment's notice throughout our trip...even helping us make phone calls because we could not speak the language enough to do so. The property is spectacular. The views from the patio can't be beat from sunrise to sunset! The property is behind a private gate which added a nice touch of security. The house was welcoming and clean with nice amenities like a washer and dryer - we felt right at home. I have already recommended this location to many people. Highly recommend!

Wonderful!!

We had an amazing stay at this home in the Tuscan countryside. Everything you need is at your fingertips so all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the scenery. Francesca is an amazing host and quickly responded to every request and couldn’t be more helpful. The only complaint we had was that we couldn’t stay longer! We look forward to returning some day!

Magical location and people

This is a really special villa. The views over the countryside are out of this world - it's just rolling hills, vineyards and gorgeousness. It's also ideally located. 10 mins from Siena and Monteriggioni, 45 mins from San Gimignano and an hour from Florence. The interior is beautifully decorated. Not in a standard hotel way, but filled with history and interesting objects that give you a real sense of time and place. You could spend ages just admiring the decor. Bedrooms are air conditioned, which is wonderful and the kitchen is really well stocked if you like to cook. Finally, the magic ingredient is Francesca and her team. They made us feel so welcome and were unbelievably helpful. We arrived late on a Saturday and asked Francesca about supermarkets to buy breakfast stuff the next day. Before we knew it, she'd gone out and picked up a selection of things she thought we might like. I've lost count of the amount of times I texted Francesca about car parks or restaurants and she always came back with such helpful advice. We had a welcome meal and pizza night and her team were really wonderful. The villa and location are amazing, but I have to say that Francesca and her team really took it to another level. I don't know when we're coming back to Tuscany, but when we do, it'll be back here.

Tuscany at its BEST

We loved our entire trip to Italy, but our time in Quercegrossa with Best of Mas was the highlight! Francesca has created a lovely country home to just relax and breathe in Tuscany! She helped to arrange a welcome dinner in the home our first night from busy Florence which was the one dinner we kept talking about! Absolutely beautiful home, spacious, and very comfortable! Idyllic Villa in Tuscany

If you are looking for an unforgettable experience in Tuscany, this is the villa to choose. Nestled among olive trees and vineyards and at a convenient distance from Siena, this quintessential villa was originally purchased by Francesca‘s grandfather and transformed into the house it is today with the benefit of Francesca‘s architectural skills. Cool and comfortable, the house is also elegant and distinctive. The kitchen is easy to navigate and the doors from the dining room open onto beautiful vistas, covered patios, swimming, pool, and hot tub. Francesca‘s company, Best of Mas, arranged for us to be picked up at the Rome airport. Francesco, our driver was very welcoming and went out of his way to take us to a local supermarket on the way to the Villa. Francesca also arranged for us to have a chef, Katy, cook us a welcome dinner. Katy, also a sommelier, educated us about the local food and wine. It was one of the best meals we had in Italy. During our stay, Francesca was available and responsive, and provided us with much useful information. With Francesca‘s genuine hospitality, we felt well cared for throughout our stay. We highly recommend staying in this villa.

Amazing host

We spent a week at the house and had a wonderful time. Francesca was the most gracious host, helping us with rental car reservations and wine tours. Very responsive to all of our questions. Francesco was our driver and tour guide, helping us with exclusive access to wineries and more. The pasta cooking class was fabulous. Highly recommend.

A week in Tuscany
