White Pine Lodge- private lakehome on 40 acres, dock, canoe -click pic to see
White Pine Lodge is a beautiful, completely secluded lake home located a mile up a broad, forested peninsula on about 40 acres. The house, which includes AC and central heating, is named after the old and very large white pine standing about 150 feet west of the house. White Pine Lodge, features an open concept floor plan that includes the kitchen, dining and living room, and hardwood floors. Picture windows, and a long deck offer broad views of the lake and woods. We provide parking for four vehicles or boat trailers and canoe is included with the rental. A 50 ft dock usually stays in the lake until mid-October.
Three bedrooms (the master has a queen size bed) and two bathrooms accommodate up to seven adults. Small children are welcome. Two recently renovated bathrooms offer a walk-in shower and a tub shower with grab bars and slip resistant floors making them ideal for seniors. Seniors will also appreciate a second, two-step, entryway at the south end of the house and the single-floor layout.
The house has soft water, washer, dryer, dishwasher and a fully equipped kitchen. Amenities include high speed internet, satellite TV, a DVD player, wifi, yard and board games, jigsaw puzzles, books, a fire pit (wood supplied) a picnic table and a gas grill. Linens, towels and dishes are also included.
The house is on Kitchi Lake, which lies is in the middle of the Cass Lake chain of eight inter-navigable lakes and offers a variety of game fish including walleye, northern pike, crappie, blue gills large mouth bass and muskie. Cass Lake, a ten minute boat ride from the house, is also one of the state’s premier muskie lakes and a favorite with trophy fishermen. If you bring your own boat, a boat landing is available about a mile from the house, or you can usually rent a boat one on the lake.
Nearby Bemidji offers a variety of family activities including hiking and biking on state trails, several golf courses, and major grocery and retail chains. Many of our guests book to attend programs at the Sanford Center or Bemidji State University while getting in some fishing. There are also three golf courses and a casino in the area.
* If your party is larger than seven, consider also booking our companion property, The Point, a quarter mile up the road (listing number 1392352) which handles 6, or combined, around 13 guests. Renting the two properties is the solution for groups who want a shared vacation experience while maintaining separate family accommodations. At about 2.5 to 3 hours, from Fargo, Grand Forks and Duluth and about 4.5 from MSP, either property is an easy reach for your getaway.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. This is a beautiful home situated on the Cass Lake Chain. We enjoyed boating and fishing on Cass Lake and Kitchi Lake. Many things to do close by including State Parks. Very secluded yet easy access to a veriety of activities. The house is stocked with plenty of amenities, just bring food and you wont need to leave for anything else. Bring bug spray, you are in a 40 acre forest.

Fabulous lake house retreat!
The home is comfortable, clean, and quaint and perfectly nestled in the Minnesota woods on the lake. We caught many fish right off the dock and enjoyed bonfires with the family late into the summer evening. The porch is the perfect place to relax with a coffee in the morning. The home is updated and well-equipped with furniture, bedding, kitchen supplies, towels, air mattresses, etc. Check-in and out were seamless. Fabulous hosts! Would love to stay again!!!

Fantastic spot!!
We had a great 4 day stay. The house was well equipped. The beds were really comfy. Very quiet location! We really enjoyed the bench at the end of the pier. We saw fish, turtles, heron, ducks with their goslings and even a pair of osprey!!Now I want to comment on some things I read in other reviews. The "road" to get to the house is a single tract road. Go slow! We never met anyone on the road so it really wasn't an issue. The trip down to the lake is not that steep (as other reviews had stated). Yes, the backyard slopes down to the lake but there are about 20 stairs and then the short distance up the hill. I'm an out of shape 60 person who did the hill just fine.We went to lake Bemidji State Park. We combined the old log trail with the big walk. Wonderful morning! Also ate at Tutto Benne and Green Mill. Both were excellent!!! We had an amazing time and would definitely stay here again!!

Pretty location on Kitchi
House is nicely appointed. Good views of lake particularly during the morning sunrise. Fairly steep walk down to lake. Can be slippery after rain. However, it’s beautiful. Be aware that the road into the property is fairly narrow and dirt and spots are muddy if wet, but not in any way impassable, just rustic. However, it would be difficult to bring a large boat onto the property and be able to turn around or maneuver it. You’d be better off launching from Pike Hole Resort or Cass Lake and bringing trailer only to park on the property. Dock is nice. We enjoyed our stay! Primarily a fishing trip. Kitchi provided ample perch (actually quite tasty), some walleye (we were not particularly successful, not that others were not), and northern pike. One complaint I would have is that owners should update site description. There is no hot tub as advertised, and I would not call the area by the dock as a beach. Otherwise, as a retreat, nice!

Kitchi Lake House
Let me say the house met all our needs and location of property was centrally to the state parks we wanted to visit. The roadway leading up to the house can be challenging for individuals that are not used driving on back roads. Enjoyed sitting on the bench on the dock, but personally I would not swim in this area of the lake. Also, don't forget the bug spray! The bugs enjoy living in the region of Minnesota, so don't think I am only talking about around the house. We sprayed ourselves before hiking anywhere in this area.

Secluded cabin has pros & cons
Secluded rustic cabin on lake-it is accessible via a 1 mile dirt path through dense woods. Mosquitoes and flies are plentiful outside as well as inside along with a dead mouse. This cabin has a spacious living/dining area, new appliances, with a beautiful view of the lake! Boat landing has plenty room to dock boats and a nice bench at the end. Plans for the family entertainment inside the cabin had to be moved into town due to all the bugs. Homeowner was contacted and it was suggested we set off a bug bomb, which was not acceptable with small children. We felt cleaning of the property could have been done more thorough.

My wife, a few friends, and I booked this cabin for a weeklong summer vacation. We loved how secluded and quiet this property was. We enjoyed taking our boat out to fish and swim. It is so easy to access a variety of lakes. Excellent location. The cabin was clean with appropriate amenities and communication with the host. We would come back again!

Perfect lake house
Our family had the best time! Completely private and secluded. Great Lake access. We rented a pontoon from Fun Monkey and spent a day on the water. Saw plenty of loons and bald eagles. The property was well stocked and information was easy to find. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place to stay.

Kitchi Lakehouse
The Lovely Lakehouse is situated on a great location on Kitchi. The building is bigger than the photos make it appear, and is equipped with every amenity that you could imagine. The location provides a "woodlands escape" with a wonderful lake view. Excellent fishing opportunities within the sights of the dock, even in the dead of summer. Our family had a great time.

Summer Cabin
We had a wonderful time with our family at this cabin. The lake was beautiful and it was easy to put our boat in the water and ski, tube and swim right off the dock. We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the cabin. When we arrived there was old coffee in the pot, the microwave was filthy, there were sheets in the dryer and sunflower seeds in the couch. It made it hard to feel like anything was clean. It also said it sleeps 7 but it was not until the second night that we found the blowup mattresses. The fire pit was also not that inviting just stuck in the yard. That being said we still had a nice family vacation

Family time at the lake
The property is just as stated. It is very secluded and private!! We were able to just relax and enjoy. As others have stated the mosquitoes are definitely an issue but that is what you have in Minnesota in the summer!!
We had a wonderful time. It was quite easy to self check in.
We would definitely recommend for a quiet time away. We stopped at the Pike Hole Bar and grill for supper one night. Great place!!
Definitely would stay again!!
The location is on a very secluded peninsula which was great. The main level of the house was very clean and was nice and open. We were there to fish and enjoy the lake and we were not disappointed. Plenty of pan fish. Weren't able to catch many big fish but it was July. Would be nice if they kept the outdoors up a little more. Although we didn't do much around the cabin as the mosquito's were as bad as I have seen all day long (not a great location if you have small kids and want to do a lot outdoors). The only suggestion I would have on the main level is invest in an entertainment center for the TV etc. and have the furniture centered around that. Right now it is way to disjointed and the TV is too low. I would also suggest cleaning up the basement and fixing it up into a useable space as it seems like you have a decent pool table down there that would have been great to use. Like I said we were there to fish and enjoy the lake and surrounding area so it worked well for us. The owners were great to work with and responded to any questions we had immediately.
This is a very nice property that worked well for our family of 5. It is very quiet and secluded. The road to get to the house is narrow and a little hard to maneuver a boat through. The view of the lake is beautiful from the dock. The lake was a little low, so we were unable to dock our boat at the house. ( Obviously no fault of the property owner) The kids had a blast fishing off of the deck. This would be a great getaway for a fishing group.

Quiet & Serene
When I go on vacation, I want somewhere off the beaten path and without a lot of people around. This property is just that. You are all by yourself on a peninsula surrounded by trees with direct water access. The house was perfect for our needs. We stayed with 4 adults and 3 kids and had plenty of space. The house included many unique items that made for a quaint experience. It also had all the amenities we needed--washer/dryer, dishwasher, coffee maker, and grill. My only complaints would be lack of a swimming area for the kids as it is very weedy and the MOSQUITOES. Dock and deck areas were fine, but if you were in the yard whatsoever, they were unstoppable. We spent most of our time on the water so it was fine, but had to run when coming back and forth to the house, which is no easy feat considering the steep hill. I appreciated the workout, but my in-laws, not so much :-). Overall, a great experience!
