The good- the staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is top notch, with amazing views and plenty of comfortable beach loungers. We snorkeled at the beach and there was coral and fish very close by. We had fun during the day at the beach lounging, walking, swimming, and reading.
The bad- upon arrival, they told us we needed to pay āthe other halfā of what we owed. We had already paid in full on hotels.com, though apparently this was a mistake, that was supposed to only be half the price. In the end they did not make us pay double what we thought we had to pay, but it felt like a negotiation. Also, everything was overpriced. They charged us for potable water. Again, we negotiated with them and they filled our water bottles with potable water for free. However, had we paid the full amount for potable water, we would have spent about $100USD over the 3 nights we stayed there. Most importantly, we stayed in a cabana, and it is definitely not a 5 star hotel. It is glamping. While there is an air conditioner in the room, the walls are all screens and the room is totally open air, so it was very hot the whole time we were there. there were tons of mosquitoes, and I got bit all night despite sleeping under the mosquito net. It was very hard to get sleep considering the heat and the mosquitoes. This hotel would be a fun place to go during the day if you are into partying (loud blasting music all day), but I would not stay there again unless there were changes made.
