This home is incredibly cozy and inviting. It was very clean. The area is quiet making it a peaceful stay. The sunrises and sunsets are so beautiful. Doreen was very accommodating and easy to work with. Her communication was excellent and she checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. This is our 3rd stay and we highly recommend this home.

We had a great getaway at Hooked on Bayou. It was just the getaway we had in mind. It is in a quiet area (we literally saw no one in the neighborhood during our stay), but its location was within minutes of necessities. The home was very comfortable and just as the pictures indicated. We were pleased with the selection of games, movies, books, and other activities in the home.The pier was lovely and we enjoyed watching the fish jump during the evenings and also enjoyed an evening visit from a manatee. During our stay we had an awesome charter experience with Sidehustle Excursions where we brough in more than 30 fish. Only downside of our trip, which is not related to the home at all, was the noseeum population in the area. Some days we had no issues and other days they were hungry.

Beautiful view

We came to fish for a few days with family. The home was perfect for my mom and daughter to hang out while we were on the boat. The property was beautiful!

Great for fishermen and serenity seekers!

The hosts, house, and location were great! We enjoyed the fishing, bird watching, games, and solitude. We’ll be visiting again.

Beautiful location and nice house

We really enjoyed the pier/dock, fishing kayaks and just sitting on the deck admiring the view. House was decorated really nice and felt very welcoming. Hosts were excellent.

Great place to stay!

This was our second time staying at Hooked on the Bayou. We had another lovely stay. The house is very comfortable and clean! We took the kayaks out and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The owner is great to work with. We hope to come back soon!

Perfect place for a couple's getaway

This property was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The house was well kept and furnished very well. The view out over the marsh was beautiful and the fishing from the dock was great.

fishing trip

Spent spring break with my 18 year old son and we had a great time fishing off the dock and going to the beach which is such a short drive and very easy access. We loved our stay and cannot wait to come back when the weather is warmer. We cant wait to fish in the kayaks

The house was perfect! Great views! It had everything you need for a perfect stay. Fishing was great! Beach & Town is less than 5 minutes away. I highly recommend this spot for a gulf vacation! Thanks so much for letting us stay!

Wonderful Stay!

We had a very relaxing stay and would highly recommend this property. It is very clean, cozy & inviting. The property was very well appointed and had everything we needed. The sunrises and sunsets are just beautiful. The owners go out of their way to be accommodating and are very easy to work with. I hope we can come back soon!

Quiet and relaxing

My family and I loved the tranquility and comfort of the neighborhood and home. We were able to recharge each evening after our adventures. The accommodations were friendly to us all!!

What an amazing house! Very nicely updated with all the amenities and extra touches! Beautiful views in all directions! The host was amazing and super helpful. If you are trailering anything boat/trailer full of ATVs this driveway is perfect! This place has it all. The dock is fun for fishing and hanging out. The house is 2 minutes from the water/boat launch and restaurants. 20 minutes to Tates Hell OHV and 20 minutes to Apalachicola (Try the Tap Room bar and grill). Saint George is just another 5 minutes from there. So much fun and so much relaxation! Can’t wait for Doreen to host us again! Thanks for a great Thanksgiving getaway with our son and daughter-in-law.
