This quaint, rustic place is found near Canyon Dam on the river above the Horseshoe Loop, a favorite local water playground. The river offers great fishing for those that crave to reel in a Rainbow Trout or a Texas catfish of the Guadalupe. If you decide you want to participate in fun water activities, then feel free to tube down the river through the Horseshoe Loop! Be sure and pack a full cooler, especially in the summer. This cabin provides an experience you will not quickly forget and will recommend to your friends.

When you enter the cabin, you walk into the wonderful aroma of a Texas country home. All the living comforts of home are provided, to prepare meals, dine in a family setting, etc. When you retire for the night, the comfortable beds will surprise you with a very restful sleep in a quiet setting. In the kitchen you will also find an owner surprise awaiting your arrival. We will customize this for your special occasion, so please let us know so we can provide the perfect surprise for you.

This is a relaxing retreat for couples, families, or those fishermen who enjoy the peace of Texas country. Enjoy the church bells while swinging on the front porch at noon everyday. Please be aware if you believe your group is looking for a party atmosphere it would be better to look elsewhere. The neighbors are not receptive to loud noise.

In addition, Whitewater amphitheater is about a mile from this house if you want to take in a show.

Please note we have a strict NO PET policy. Please do not book this property if you intend on bringing any kind of pet. We cannot accept any pets due to a medical condition of the host who often spends time at the property (severe allergies among others). $500 fee if a pet(s) or any remnants of a pet is found on property.

It is the perfect cozy cabin!

It is absolutely blissful with its own uniqueness. From coffee on the deck enjoying the view of the river. Kayaking, tubing, hiking or fishing. It is the perfect place to go find an adventure wether right out the back door or in either direction on the paved road. We zip-lined in Wimberley and got a helicopter tour over the Guadalupe to Canyon lake. Even from the sky the cabin is perfect! We got a lot of rest and relaxation to top it off with the cozy and comfort in the cabin. Absolutely serene!

Cozy Cabin is a perfect description for this property. One afternoon we had to stay in due to storm but we didn't mind it; the cabin was great for family games. Check-in process was a breeze. Russel was great, even with some last minute additions to our group.

Neighborhood Home with easy access to Guadalupe River

Quaint log cabin. The home feels more like a hunting lodge than a lake/river house but we enjoyed our stay very much. All the amenities you need for any type of cooking. No real place for family to all sit around and relax except dinning room table. Lots of games to entertain at night. TV room really only for those sleeping in the loft. cant all gather around on beds to watch TV, thank you for the hospitality

Labor Day Weekend Getaway

Our family of 6 enjoyed our weekend getaway on the river. During the day we floated the river, swam at Canyon Lake, fished off the landing, and played croquet in the yard. At night the kids watched movies and my wife and I played cards. The accomodations were clean and spacious. Thank you for sharing your wonderful place.

Wonderful Texas River Cabin!!

This was the quintessential Texas river cabin! We were so happy staying here, and can't wait to return. My husband and I came with two 18 year old girls, and had the best time floating behind the cabin. We tubed, and also rented paddle boards from Canyon Lake Adventures. When we were there, the river current was very gentle, so we could easily paddle around and not get carried away. We saw a few other tubers and fishermen, but other than that, it was like our own river. We did go five minutes down the road and float via the Tube Haus access one day, which was a lot of fun, and great for people watching. This was a great place to watch turtles, fish, birds and we also saw a fox one evening. We loved the trees. So picturesque! We ate at the cabin for breakfast and lunch each day, and dined out locally each night. We enjoyed Goofy's, the Baja BBQ Shack at the marina (beautiful sunset!) and Wicked Good Pizza (which we brought back to eat at the cabin) after the local Italian restaurant was going to be a 2 hour wait. The cabin has great air conditioning and water pressure. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

Awesome Place

We had a great time during our stay. Thank you for letting us stay at your cozy cabin. The kids loved the upstairs part. We also loved being outside and enjoyed the river and cooked a meal in your kitchen that had everything we needed. We ended our day doing s'mores. We hope to be back next year!

This place lives up to its name: Cozy Cabin!

Great option for a quiet and relaxing get-away. The cabin was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed not having the distraction of a TV - and enjoyed watching an old movie with the provided DVDs. Great location to see everything the Canyon Lake area has to offer. Only caution: in river tubing season - traffic on main road can be congested yet it's fun to find alternate routes - scenery beautiful! Owner, Russell, was very prompt with all questions and gave great explanations and suggestions during our stay. On the river, yet with a small island across the narrow canal; still secluded from the river tubers. Will definitely keep this one location logged in our favorites!
