peaceful and fun. it’s a beautiful country setting. spent our mornings in the front porch.Darlene left carrots in the fridge for my granddaughter to share with junior (the donkey) and Raven (black horse) plus animal crackers for the goats. close to so much- stunning drives, distilleries, bardstown

Off in the country.

The charm of the old farmhouse was great. We enjoyed the house and it has modern conveniences. The animals were friendly. Only stayed two nights but I could see staying here a week or more. Close enough to Bardstown and away from any city traffic. Very comfortable.

Beautiful country home, rich with history. Loved spending time on the front porch and seeing all the animals. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. Close enough to town that going to the grocery was very easy.

Great place

Great place. We stayed here for my niece’s graduation from Campbellsville University. 5 min to the university so it was perfect for that. Beautiful location on the farm. Loved seeing the goats and the horse and mule. Clean, well kept, cute house.

Lovely farmhouse

We enjoyed our weekend stay in this lovely farmhouse. The kitchen came equipped with all the necessities for cooking. We enjoyed the outdoors on the front porch swing and grilling on the back patio. Nice country setting!

Cozy Farm House

This is our second stay we thoroughly enjoyed the house and the peace and quiet. We loved being close to everything but still being able to be in the quietness of the countryside. Owners were gracious and kind. We would recommend this place to everyone!

Perfect place for our family

Came to town to visit our daughter who goes to school at the University. We have stayed at a couple other properties but this has been the best. Perfect distance from town, the rural countryside is amazing, home is lovely, host is amazing, it was everything we could have wanted and more. Loved it!

We Loved It!

This was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway for our family reunion. Not only was this the same price or even less than staying nightly in a hotel, but it was so peaceful and beautiful. The farm was amazing. The house was great and well stocked with everything you would need. The pictures cannot do this property justice. The owners were also very responsive and such kind people. If we didn't actually have a family reunion and places to be, I think we would've had even more fun just staying at the house and on the property for the weekend. We would love to rent this every yesr when we come down. Thank you so much!

Home away from Home

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Granny's House and will definitely make this my place to stay when I return to visit my hometown and family. From enjoying a morning coffee on the front porch to watch the sun rise to an evening in the back to watch the sun set is exactly what I needed. Thanks to Ronnie and Darlene for their wonderful hospitality.

Far away but near enough

Everything was great. It's exactly what I was looking for. It's far enough out that you'd dont see to many people. The occasional car coming down the street, but only a 10 min drive to walmart for anything you might need. You wouldn't even know it was there until you went looking. Which is great. Growing up in the country and moving to city is a change, this place felt right to me. Didnt get to explore the trails out back, was raining. Normally that wouldnt stop me but it does when you have company. They house really does feel like your grandma's house. Everything was clean and neat and you can tell where the house was remodeled, like the bathroom. They told me the kitchen is going to be done soon so I definitely want to come back and see. If anyone reads this and doesnt have knowledge of older faucets. When starting the shower, pull down under the faucet where the water comes out to start the shower. My gf took a bath not knowing how to do it. As for the area, everyone is soo friendly and ready to help. In the city I get a ton of people staring at me and avoiding me. I'm kind of a minority mixture of too many but down here no one looks twice and everyone's ready to chit chat. Definatly come stay, and check out the peddlers market. I honestly want to move here just because of this weekend.
