Room felt neglected. I can imagine once upon a time room 601 was looking great but that’s not what I expected. Felt dirty, mold in the shower, we just doubled checked the mattress to ensure no bedbugs (none!) but the mattress was worn, stained and VERY old.
The view/location was a 9.0, the room 4.0. At the time I’m writing this, we booked it with Expedia showing 9.0, 4 stars. Maybe others had newer rooms. Ours really needed a makeover. You think a hotel with 9.0 would be a great place, I really hope management walks through there rooms and look for all the imperfections. I don’t usually write reviews like this, and was really thinking of not commenting but we paid for a 9.0, and it was 4.0.
On the flip side, check-in/out staff were friendly! I loved the view of the cemetery. What a neat place to look at with so much history!
Would I recommend? I’m on the fence. Maybe this was isolated to room 601 (?). We’re travelers from the U.S.
