As much as you can understand that hostel cleaniness is a shared responsibility between staff and guests (different from traditional hotels), this hostel actually looks dirty everywhere. Toilet didn't flush in my bathroom and it was shared (6 beds). Imagine the situation for three days. You were unable to shower because water came out boiling. Definitively would recommend looking other options.

Poor three night stay

The location and staff are OK. Three different kind of bugs found in the room, not bed bugs per se but they were on the bed, floor, bathroom. Air conditioner wasn't great. But better than nothing. It was too loud along with the bathroom fan, couldn't even use the light in the bathroom because the fan came on with it. The staff spoke adequate English but the activities lists on the walls were never up to date. Elevators never seemed to go to the correct floor. The airport shuttle was 30 minutes late after check out. Miserable sitting in the sun, bad location in front of a Starbucks with construction out front. Hotel didn't answer when I called them to help. You have to wear a concert wrist band the whole time you stay to get in the front. Must be a better way. I would find somewhere else. The last minute price was good but I see why.

I would have it in mind if I'm back in BA

The staff were friendly and helpful at all times during the day/evening/night. When my phone broke at an inconvenient time before check-in, they even went out of their way giving me a morning knock on the door for the 3 nights I stayed there. There is a board of activities with a variety of decent excursions, some lasting 2 hours like a free walking tour (Nicolas, one of the guides, was very informative) and for longer stays there are trips to other parts of the country. The common area has about 9 public computers open 24/7 which was a nice service. I didn't go to the bar/food area on the bottom floor, but once having checked in you get a wristband that gives you 20% off in there (I think this is for all drinks, alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic.. perhaps the food too). Airport transport service was perfect and cheap with a very nice driver, which the staff easily helped me arrange. There is only one type of electronic socket in the room (not the one with two round power pins), but if you don't have an adaptor you can have your device charged behind the reception desk. The location is close to metro stations and is 4 blocks away from the obelisk, but the area with its narrow streets is slightly sketchy in the evening when the stores are about to close and the lights get dim. However, I think this can be said about most inner city streets in big cities. Low score on cleanliness because two of the towels were spotty with some not very nice colours. Didn't change soaked towel.

Hotel suites Florida is in a handy location if you want to stay centre city. The hostel itself is dated, noisy and really lacks atmosphere! This is due to the great wifi connection, so if your a traveller who's glued to your screen, go for it! They offer free walking trips which I recommend and the staff are friendly and helpful. Still, bit of a dive for the price.

Good budget option in Buenos Aires

we stayed in a double room. it is a good hostel with a lot of facilities and the bar downstairs is also a bonus. some of the staff were a bit rude and not overly helpful when enquiring about the tours they promote but there was one guy who was really great. breakfast is poor. no internet in rooms but in the common area it is free.

Enjoyable Stay

Staff was personable and very helpful from checkin to checkout. I appreciated their assistants with local BA questions and travel planning. Breakfast was pretty poor (stale rolls, two-types of cold cereals and fruit ( which was behind the counter and had to be asked for); coffee was horrible. FL ave definitely is touristy, so if you want to get off the beaten path a bit this is not the place for you.

Excellent Budget Accommodation - Fantastic Staff

This facility provided excellent value-for-money. Location is excellent. Rooms were basic but very clean and well-maintained. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.
