Overall good value for money. Location is excellent with safety and good and numerous dining options close by. Staff was courteous and helpful. The rooms are neat but small with basic facility. There is no fridge and any English TV channel. Bathroom shower had a door missing so had to have a towel there to avoid water spilling all over also the bathroom door refused to close. Breakfast had limited options but tasty.

Good location and good value

Great location near San Telmo, although it was noisy every night / early hours being opposite a bar. Overall for value of money it was a good choice, though the bathroom is tiny and definitely needs an upgrade. The room is modern but basic.

Nice studio rental for the price

This studio apartment is very nice. It is very clean, the bed was comfortable and TV had a couple of English speaking channels. It's about 5 minutes from the center of Bariloche. Very limited English was spoken by the woman that greeted me. The host was only available by WhatsApp. The studio is a bit dark and looks into another building across the street. Towels were not changed during the 6 nights I was there. Bathroom sink very slowly drained. Kitchen was small but functional. For the price though, the rental was a good deal.

Very average hotel and service

Upon arrival, I was told that there were electricity problems throughout the building because of a recent storm, so some plugs/lights in some of the rooms weren't working, which I understood to be outside of the hotel's control. I was initially put in a room with no working plugs - having told the receptionist, he offered to put me in another room. Unfortunately, this took well over an hour, despite constantly being assured that it would be within minutes. This was just an example of the ineffective and sub-par service which I received throughout my stay. The room itself was fine & clean, despite the overall decor being very bland and characterless. Breakfast was average (toast, cereal), but the addition of fresh fruit on one of the days was welcomed.

The only good thing: Personnel is GREAT. This visit was my worse stay by far. Faucet in the bathroom was leaking leaving a small pond on the floor, had to use the towels I got in order to avoid water to get into the room. I notified this problem the first day but the maintenance never arrived after the three days I was there despite the fact that I witnessed that the clerk called the first day. For safety reasons Lobby door is always locked, you have to ring a bell in order to get in, and somebody must be at the desk. The problem is that you cannot leave either, is nobody is at the Lobby's desk and you need to leave because your Taxi arrived you may need to pray for somebody to unlock the door before your car leaves. Do not want to imagine what could happen if there is a fire or any other hazard inside the Hotel, you may be trapped. From now on I will look to stay some place else and I will miss the nice people that is always willing to help.

Used to be better

With one exception the staff was very nice, as it used to be. The Chef is excellent and is always looking for ways to please the Customer. The bathroom for room 111 does not have enough room in order to move freely due to a hair dryer that takes 1/4th of the clearance. I could not reach the lavatory in order to brush my teeth without hitting the appliance and it consistently felt. The first day towels were not changed and on my last night there was not hot water until 8 AM due to some internal issue.

Couple happy with their stay

We stayed for 4 nights and were happy with our choice. Best feature for us was location - loved being in San Telmo area with lots of restaurants, and easy to walk everywhere. 24 hour reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was basic but still filling and with enough choice. we didn't use the restaurant/bar downstairs but it was nice to know it was there and we were not distrubed by it. Happy with what we got for the good price, and only critism would be that our room stated garden view, which we got, but it wasn't much of a garden at all.

A surprising little gem.

The Bohemia Buenos Aires Hotel delivers more than you pay for. From the generous buffet breakfast served in the bar that opens onto a wonderful hidden garden to the engagingly gritty San Telmo neighbourhood crowded with varied and excellent restaurants in which it is located, this unassuming hotel reminds you why travel can be so much fun. As a bonus, the rates are economical and the staff unobtrusive, friendly and helpful.

Bohemia BA Hotel

I've choose Bohemia Hotel based on other customer reviews, location, cost, and my runaway needs. The Bohemia is located in San Telme within a few blocks (7-10 min walk) from major metro station, Puerto Madera, and other centrally located venues. The hotel neighborhood looks vintage/classic/50's style, safe, convenient....the super friendly hotel staff can provide you with anything you'd like and need to know about the BA. The rooms is cozy, and it has basic needs - clean bathroom, comfy bed, clean sheets and towels, wi-fi. The breakfast was also what you need to send you to the streets of BA. Next time, I visit BA and Boca Republic, shall definitely stay at Bohemia Hotel.
