The Squirrels Nest is a quaint, historic log cabin overlooking the James River in Buchanan, Virginia. It is available as a vacation rental with a two (2) night minimum stay. There are three bedrooms and two baths and can accommodate up to six (6) guests. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and Bedroom 3 has two twin beds. The Kitchen is fully equipped and there is a large flat screen TV in the living room. Covered picnic area at the rear of the property overlooking the river and Town of Buchanan.
The Squirrels Nest is located near many local attractions that are within walking distance such as Antiques shopping, the swinging bridge, fishing, canoeing, tubing and kayaking on the James River. Other attractions not too far away include The Natural Bridge, Safari Park, and Zoo. The Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail and numerous hiking or biking trails. We are located thirty minutes from Downtown Roanoke and Downtown Lexington.
The cabin is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a patio. There's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can expect to find a TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.
