The location was great ,between Bryson City and Cherokee. Short distance to either place.
Peaceful and quiet. Beautiful place on the river. Having a grill was a plus.

No thanks.
Before booking ratings were listed as outstanding. Better word would be adequate. Very outdated facilities. Lodge is next to a dog kennel so we were greeted each of our two mornings by a chorus of loud barking dogs at about 6 am. Dirty ashtray on the front stoop sitting area. Flimsy towels. For the price we paid for two nights it was very overpriced.
Would not recommend.
There was a beautiful river in the backyard.
All plumbing metalwork was rusted. Very poor lighting. Windows were painted shut. Outdoor seating was rusted. Damaged/holes in the wall.
Lovely riverfront property. Room was immaculate and it was a joy to have the river so close. There was even a covered area with firepit. The owners were on site and made us feel right at home. And the beds were super comfortable. Will come back!
We had an awesome stay at this quaint little motel that sends you back in time. The bed slept great and the room was clean. We had a huge window that looked out over the river. There is a nice covered pavilion with gliders and picnic tables, fire ring and grills right by the river for your enjoyment. Our last night there we were in the pavilion enjoying the weather and the nature sounds, when an elk walked out of the river and right past us. It was awesome. Would highly recommend. Staff is amazing and i can't wait to stay there again when we are in the area.

Love the property. Had planned to come back a few weekends per year but they made a copy of the front and back of my credit card. I went straight to the room and cancelled the card and had it reissued. Never coming back.
Great little spot by the river, room was CLEAN, the bed was very comfortable, the owners assessable, location close enough to Cherokee or Bryson City... Right between the two
It was a great place to stay and was extremely reasonable. Although we didnt use it, they have a beautiful pool. Room was clean and shower had good water pressure.
The owners are super sweet and helpful! Cheap and quick uber ride to Harrah's Cherokee Casino. Located right next to the river with a covered picknic area to hang out in and take in the sounds of the water. Highly recommed!
Great trip older motel but was nice and front desk was nice. We will return for another stay. Right on river with covered Firepit and grill.

Hidden Surprise
This hotel is ideal if you're looking to step back in time to the late 90s early 2000s. From the hotel keychain (yes, they still give keys) to the actual cable wire plugged into the TV. Despite the age, we found this place to be incredibly cozy and clean. This hotel has not been tainted by the modern world and it holds a beautiful surprise behind it. Words can't describe the beauty (please see attached photo). We discovered beavers swimming and playing along the creekside. Fireflies glowing in the night sky. This place quickly became a favorite for my nature loving family.
This was a cute place. It's old but quaint! Lots of personality pretty grounds. Amazing creek in the back! Tucked away, about 6 miles from the Casino..
