I had a very disappointing experience with this stay.
The house looked superficially clean, but many of the furniture pieces were covered in dust, which made it feel poorly maintained.
During the first night, the outside temperature dropped to 29°F. The heat inside the house was locked at 65°F, and despite explaining that I was traveling with my 5-month-old baby, the host refused to provide the heating access code. She claimed she increased it to 68°F, but shortly after it went back to 65°F. The house was uncomfortably cold, and my baby could not sleep properly because of it. the response was unbelievably rude and unprofessional: “Either stay there cold or pack your things and leave.”
On top of that, the listing advertises a “game room,” but the game table was broken and completely unusable. The jacuzzi was also extremely dirty, with no sign of proper maintenance, cleaning, or water replacement, making it impossible to use safely.
To make matters worse, after checkout the owner unfairly kept most of our deposit, falsely claiming that our dog had caused damage inside the house — which is simply not true. We are very respectful guests and always take good care of the places where we stay.
Overall, this was a stressful, uncomfortable, and frustrating experience from beginning to end. I would not recommend this property to anyone, especially families or people traveling with pets (service dogs as mine). The lack of professionalism, honesty, and basic respect from the host
