Good value alternative to expensive Bruges hotels

Stayed as a value alternative to expensive Bruges hotels and would recommend on that basis. We drove into Bruges but would consider the train next next time.

Not pleased

The location was good, the front clerk friendly. The room was noisy and hot and the cooling system showed “error”. The towels were well worn; frayed, thin and yellowed. The refrigerator did not cool. The price was on the high side, so it was disappointing to have bad amenities. Asked for a late checkout and was told to store bags in the bar area where no one controlled it, or pay for a half day. All I wanted was an additional hour or until 12:00. The day before the room was not cleaned before 3:00.

Great location

This is a great hotel if you want to be close to Bruges but not pay city centre prices. It’s a five minute walk to the station and the journey into Bruges was only 13 mins. The hotel itself is great. It’s clean, tidy and the beds comfortable. Be aware that there is no parking at the hotel so you will have to pay for on street parking. We would definitely return.

Great Place!

Nice room for the price. It wasn't very big but it was perfect for sleep. There is no air conditioner, but they have fans if you request one.

Excellent for Train Trip to Bruge

Very comfortable accommodations. Friendly staff spoke very good English and we're very helpful in getting directions to local sights. Very close to train station with short 13 minute trip to Bruge. I will stay here again! The only reason I didn't rate higher was because the breakfast. It was adequate but not what I've seen at other hotels. I guess for 60 Euro it's hard to complain.

Good Location. Next to the sea and easy 20 min train ride into Bruges from station a few blocks away. No onsite parking. Was told that parking was free on the street during weekdays, and paid on weekends. We parked about a block away. Breakfast is standard.

Used the hotel as a midway stop off on a 2 day cycle trip from England. They provided a garage for the bikes which was good. The rooms are a little small but had all I needed. They were clean and tidy. Shower was good. Breakfast was eat as much as you like buffet which was great before the second day of riding back to the UK.

Returning visit.

Returning back to Blankenburgh after 50 year gap,The wife and i had a wonderful time, the Hotel was just what we needed,in the centre,clean friendly staff. will not be 50 years till we return !!! Belgium,great place to visit.

Pleasant stay. I was disappointed that there is no longer a restaurant at the hotel. I am a single traveller so wanted to eat on site. This was not possible.

Lovely hotel, highly recommended

This was a lovely hotel, very friendly helpful staff. The room and bathroom were excellent, really well equiped with proper hairdryer etc, comfy beds, and very clean. Breakfast in the morning was very good, nice selection including some hot food. Very convenient for restaurants etc. we will definitely use it again for visiting the area.

"Great Stay"

We found the staff very friendly and helpful, a tip they gave us was parking in the street for free during the week, although it was chargeable at weekends. The room big and comfortable especially the bathroom. Breakfast was a very good continental. Well situated in the town for restaurants, market and train station. Very convenient to travel to other towns in Belgium and Holland, i.e. Bruges and Ostend. We would definitely go back.

Bien pour 1 ou 2 nuits.

À max 8min de la plage donc très bien localisé. Chambre propre et moderne mais toute petite. Par contre, petit déjeuner décevant! Pas de pince pour le pain donc pas très hygiénique, café inbuvable et pour la charcuterie juste 2 sortes de saucisson de jambon. Bien pour passer un week-end mais pas plus en ce qui me concerne.
