Ideal location - very close to many landmarks, restaurants and stores. Within walking distance of everything. Beautiful area, felt very safe and quiet at night. We were there for the Christmas markets and the location was perfect. The rooms were cozy and we appreciated the two queen beds to accommodate the 4 of us. The stairs are a little tough with large suitcases, as there are no elevators, but we did appreciate the option of leaving our bags on site before we could check in. Directions for checking in and out were very clear and simple to follow.

Had a great experience here. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Like a lot of hotels in Old Europe the rooms were a little quirky and there was no elevator. No big deal for us, though we had a room on the 4th floor, but be aware the stairs could be a challenge for some. The price and location more than made up for it. And the meal we had at the on site restaurant was one of the best we had on our 3 wk European vacation. Highly recommend!

The Hotel war over all okay, but we expected more when we saw the Pictures and the Ratings. We traveled with a Group and booked seven Rooms. In one room, the toilet seat was broken and another room the safe did not work. We asked several times for support, each time they promised us to fix it, but when we left after two days, it was still nothing done. The beds are OK but the rooms are smaller than it looks on the pictures. On the first evening we had dinner at the Hotel restaurant and the food and service was excellent.

If you are visiting Brugge for work or for leisure, this hotel is in the perfect location. Everything is walkable and the dining options are endless. You will of course only eat at the Kafee of Gran Hotel de Passage as the food is worthy of any fine dining establishment. The Chicken vol Au Vent was perhaps one of the finest meals I have ever eaten (I wish I could get the recipe). The staff were unflinchingly polite, professional and helpful. My only negative feedback would be that the AC in my room did not appear to work as I could not turn it on, but I am sure that is easily solved and the windows in the room provided ample fresh air when open. This hotel has wonderful character and if you are a solo travel or couple who value comfort at an affordable price as a base for exploring a beautiful city, then book this hotel!

There's a lot to love about this place but there were also some big misses too. Pro: beautiful building, great location, fantastic service. I liked going through the building, it was cool! Cons: very large "suspicious" white stain on pillows when I checked in, no hand soap available, and the towels smelled mildew-y
