Long-term occupants took over room were very rude and trying to start arguments with short-term occupants. Brought friends into start arguments as well. Not enough storage in rooms. Whole place smell of marijuana.
Friendly staff, nice social lougne area and its got a pool!

Expedia list double room amenities with bathroom. There is no room bathroom, only shared communal M&F bathroom.
This is an old YHA hostel, don't expect too much, it is what it is.
Great place to stay at for its unique character and all its charm. Right down to a tree growing through what feels like a tree house accommodation. The gentleman that checked us in at the desk was super friendly and very accommodating. He showed us where everything is and tips for anything we may need or use.
No fridge in the bedroom but communal fridges with ample room to store your food/ drinks in a bag downstairs. The room was everything we needed and the bed was comfy.
Only bummer was staying on a Saturday night and us leaving 5am the next morning. Could hear people up and about till after midnight laughing / talking etc. Wasnt unbearable or a deal breaker next time but could be if you are a light sleeper. Maybe earplugs if you need. Bring a waterproof bag that could hold belongings on the back of the bathroom door as there is no shelf and the whole cubical gets wet while you shower.
Other than that was a great stay! Wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the free breaky and the bar facility.
First travellers lodge experience and as a whole what a great place to stay!!
The Lodge was a great place to meet fellow travellers of all ages and nationalities.
Staff friendly and very helpful. Laundry facilities most welcome at this stage of my trip.
Seems to be used as long term accommodation for a lot of working backpackers, so much expect clutter in the dorm rooms such that you can barely get to your bunk. Bathrooms aren't cleaned daily, mold in sinks and shower persistent for 3 day stay.
Staff were friendly and helpful but unfortunately entire property needs a thorough clean and many repairs.

Property a little dated and could do with a refresh. Aircon and fan quite dirty. Hard to find space in frig. Brekky supplies were great. Staff were awesome, friendly, explained amenities well
The staff were pleasant and well-mannered and came from a variety of countries! The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. However, amenities were basic and perhaps the bathroom could've been updated. Food prices were a wee bit high, as were alcoholic beverages.
