We were disappointed that the amenities were not up to par. The menus were not suited for vegetarian guests.. The street elevator still didnt work......being 75years old with leg issues, made it very painful to go for walks. We had only soap in dispensers in the bathroom...the dispensers we stiff and not usable with arthritic hands......again painful. The temperature of the room was ridiculously cold...we complained twice.. Got no results...it was COLD. We won't be back. ...after spending top dollar and not getting attention needed for a comfortable stay.

Easy check in and pleasant staff. Room was spacious with views of the river. However, there was thick dust on the surfaces, especially the bedside tables, dirty glasses with lipstick and finger marks, rips in the sheets and a strange strong smell.

Always like staying here as it is walkable to the GABBA and has a nice vibe. Perhaps the bar area could remain open a bit later when there is a Brisbane Lions match on as quite a few people came in after the match looking for a drink but the bar was closing. We were able to get a wine but not beer! Apart from that our stay was pleasant

Picked The Point as it was close to the Gabba for an AFL game. Was an easy enough walk to get there and back without having to rely on other means of transport. I stayed in a balcony view room that was on the third floor and it was just inline with the road outside as it goes up a slight hill - even though the windows were double glazed I didn’t get much sleep due to the constant road noise outside. I thought that it would ease off later on but it didn’t really as you could hear cars flooring the accelerator just to get up the hill. The small view I had of the story bridge was a nice touch when I sat out on the balcony for a bit. I guess if I was there for longer than a night that the road noise might not be as noticeable. The room was tidy enough but had a bit of a weird smell in it - the carpet was a bit rippled and could probably do with replacing. Bed was a bit soft and I felt like I was moulded into one bit that I couldn’t get out of even if I tried to roll out of it. Bathroom cleanliness was pretty good. Shower over a bath tub was a bit cramped - I wouldn’t like to be a bigger person as I struggled a little and I’m only small. All in all a good place to lie your head but I wouldn’t want to be sitting in the room any longer than needed. Was a bit underwhelming. 10/10 for location!
