Na, look, just don’t. Check-in is a nightmare. An hour on the phone to get in is not ok, especially after 7 hours of travelling. It wasn’t even late - 6 pm. There were three others at the door also trying to get in, so it wasn’t just me.
Restaurant looked nice but they were only doing room service. My room was not fit for eating in so I went and got something from the Servo.
Bed was nice, shower was crap.
Advice for owner / manager: I happily paid more to stay somewhere else the next night where I was welcomed in by a friendly face, check-in was actually simple - within 3 minutes I was in my room, then went and sat in the restaurant for my lovely meal, the way it usually is, and should be, when I buy a room.
