We stayed at Lost Pines over the Thanksgiving weeks with my parents, my brother's family, and my family - totaling 6 adults, 2 college-aged kids, and then 5 other kids aged 15 to 8. Everything about the property was lovely, and we highly recommend other families or large groups considering the property to book there. The house is modern, extremely large, clean, and well-equipped. There are many little details that make the stay even better: robes, shampoo/conditioner/soap, ample fridge space, and perhaps one of the best and largest "shed rooms" for ski and snow board equipment and clothes. The rooms, decor, amenities, and social space are exactly as advertised, if not better. Plus, the two rooms with various bunk and platform beds were so cool for the kids - kind of like a tree house, according to one with us. Finally, the location cannot be beat - just around the corner from the bus to Peak 8, and a very short drive (5-6 minutes) to the base of Peak 9. We really enjoyed everything about the house and stay, and our hosts were terrific. We got hit with a huge snowstorm that made driving very difficult, but our driveway was cleared off promptly the next morning, and all other questions were promptly addressed. While the house was amazing in the winter time, my guess is it's even more stunning in the summer and fall given the huge outdoor space with two fireplaces and a hot tub, plus plenty of seating.
