It is a beautiful location and we got some amazing sunset photos right off our balcony. We were only there for a quick overnight stay. My only complaint was there was a funky smell coming from the bathroom drain next to the toliet.

Although the property is getting a little outdated, it was clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable and most of all the location was perfect! Right by the beach! The beach was lovely with crystal clear water. Loved my time there!!

Great Position

I have stayed at Whitsunday Sands quite a few times. Great position adjoining 2 beaches of which one is sheltered. Bowen is a windy place. Lots of different accommodation options some self contained and some not. Has a good clean barbecue area so you don't have to have self catered rooms. Next door is a good Chinese restaurant and the other side has a good cafe.

This must be in the most scenic and beautiful Australian east coast location. Sunset was truly divine. However, the resort sorely needs and deserves a total refurbishment. The garden is well cared for and rooms clean but perfumed air freshener by the bucket load is used to mask decades of use. But, it must be said that the location with easy access to two exquisite beaches can’t be beaten.
